Fritta is great, never trade him, it was a bad year but these guys won us a flag too you dills.  Just need to work harder next year, be better, and win win win

Fritsch needs the tough conversation

yes he’s a very good goalscorer

but it’s a team game and he has a LACK OF SECOND EFFORTS

LACK OF ANY TACKLING

LACK OF DEFENSIVE PRESSURE

He looks lazy at times !!!!

Fritsch is generally a very good kick into forward 50. If he was kicking to himself on the lead he would score 60 goals! Yes, he needs to improve his pressure game. That can be fixed!

Bailey Fritsch is an elite finisher around goal - but unfortunately that is all.

Don’t be fooled by the aesthetics of his kicking style, because his field kicking & decision making is rubbish for a guy so talented.

Doesn't chase or tackle with intent. No team first mentality & would rather do the miraculous highlight instead of what’s best for the team.

Becoming increasingly frustrated with this bloke & it’s only because we all know what he could be if he improved on the above.

Disagree about his field kicking. It can be magnificent. His tackling is terrible and his chasing is lacklustre but his field kicking can be up there with Melksham.

Interesting that you called people “dills” for criticising Fritsch but then go on to say “just need to work harder”.

Isn’t that exactly what those people you call “dills” have been saying?

“Can be fixed”?

How many years has Fritsch been at the club?

Why hasn’t it been fixed by now?

I have no interest in anything you say.

However by all means go ahead and continue to embarrass yourself to others with similar posts as above.

Good point. Uncalled for Abyssal.

Sorry big fella.

My comment was uncalled for.

If you get rid of Fritta you better be bringing in someone worth 50+ goals a season, or else you’ll really be crying about our lack of scoring power.

Bailey is a finisher. You have a couple in every team. He looks great when we’re winning and attacking and terrible when we lose. He has skill and natural ability but arms like pipe cleaners so to expect him to land tackles regularly against big units is not going to happen

He should be chasing harder though. And he needs to stay focused for longer.

He is a gun. To think of trading him is utterly ridiculous

I’d like to know who the designated finishers in the top 4 sides. Because I don’t think any of them are carrying a one way cat like the Fritsches hat!

Fritta is not a Number 1 Forward. Never has been one, his goal kicking has been great considering this. Fritta to me looks like a third forward, he needs more assistance.
Gary Pert said as much on the Radio interview

His tackle pressure could improve, but it’s not his biggest concern. His drop off in the back half of this Season has been disappointing

Get another Forward Demons…

I know a forward who fits the bill perfectly and only the first name would have to change on the locker, and the nickname remains the same… Darcy ‘Fritta’ Fritsch, Bayley’s younger (but bigger and taller) brother 😁

Jokes of course, but tomorrow I hope to witness the first player in Coldstream Footy Club’s 134-year history kick 100 goals in a season. Many have come extremely close but no one’s cracked the magic ton.

Darcy’s on 98. Barring anything on an otherworldly level of disaster, he’ll get to 100 tomorrow and when he does it’ll be the biggest day in the Club’s history.

GO LITTLE FRITTA!!!

Is it possible he’s not suited to the JVR/Petty/Turner setup?

He plays his best football as that deep lead up forward ala Jason Dunstall. In the second half of the year he’s become a bit part player that chases kicks high up the ground.

Some assessment is needed in the off season to (re)utilise a class goal kicker.

He's kicked 50 twice. in 8 seasons

Next best 41

Not that hard to replace. And with someone who can put on pressure and tackle,  two traits that Fritsch seems incapable of doing

My very favourite thing in the world is seeing a grown@ss person crying “wah, wah, wah, he’s no good, get rid of him! Wah 😩” and knowing that there’s no way in hell they’ll get rid of him. LOLSY 🤣

Ok so find me 41 goals. Not hard to replace?

He’s currently 14th in the league for goals kicked with only 2 others (both sitting on 42 goals) not being tall forwards.
But by all means if you can get a trade done that nets us 41 or more goals, AND defensive pressure all in once, I’m all for it.

Brad Green kicked 55 goals in 2008, and Tmac 53 goals in 2018 were the last two players to kick over 50 goals in season aside from Fritsch. As you say, not hard to replace.

Not to defend him as I do feel he needs to lift in terms of pressure, but out of the current top 4, Fritsch is ahead of the following notable key forwards and medium forwards for pressure acts:

Logan McDonald, Jake Riccardi, Corey Warner, Mitch Georgiades, Joel Amartey, Jeremy Cameron, Gary Rohan, Todd Marshall, Jeremy Finlayson, Jesse Hogan.

They’re all tall forwards aside from Rohan (who’s not in the cats best 22) and whatever Corey Warner is

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
