Round 21 - Non MFC Matches

Would love one of Kelly, Coniglio, Scully, Shiel. They're all such good runners and kicks. We desperately lack those types of midfielders.

SCULLY go wash ur mouth out with soap Lord.

Bulldogs tackles are sticking the Giants better than ours did.

Just wondering how many other Vic clubs have played interstate two weeks in a row like we did.

I want the dogs to win but that doesnt really help us if we lose.

One thing is for certain this round apart from us needing to win. ADELAIDE MUST SMASH THE BUMMERS!

We really do. Kelly would be amazing, would be so good to have a piercing kick in the midfield

How many times can they play that ad for that terrible "cooking" show?

Greene is a grub.

Nah you're allowed to do that. Only because it's Greene it'll be blown up.

Seen many a player do it, Sylvia did it against Richmond once and was paid a mark.

Lewis Young is playing one of the worst games of football I've ever seen.

You're allowed to kick the opposition in the face?

To me it's no different to an errant spoil where the spoilee accidentally gets one in the chops. Unintentional, but a free kick all the same. No further consequences required.

Greene. No case to answer

He is still a grub

If you're taking a mark you can kick a player anywhere you want. The fact that Greene wasn't taking a mark gives it some grey area. It looked bad, but as I said I've seen it before. Dalhaus half ran into his boot too.

For the record they can suspend  him for life for all I care.

We complain about some of our guys' turnovers....the reigning premiers have coughed up too many tonight....and, like us, failed to convert I50s in Q2

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
