Sir Why You Little 37,450 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Essendrug just missed a classic goal Number 26 haha

It seems to result in goals, which helps win games (unlike handballing in circles through the midfield until you get tackled and turn it over).
whatwhat say what 23,840 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 neither side looks interested in defending genuine shoot out
danielE288 781 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Dogs should win from here which is a good result for us.
dees189227 12,509 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 come on dogs, keep it going. Hope the crows beat the pies as well.
SaberFang 7,151 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Dogs winning AND knocking down the Bombers percentage beneath ours would be a small consolation prize for us (admittedly we've already had a good run with results -- Saints choking and Hawks beating Sydney). Shame the Suns/Blues couldn't knock off the Tigers/Cats. Crows/Pies result is pretty irrelevant. Pies won't play finals and Adelaide are already pretty safe in 1st.
Diamond_Jim 12,772 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Dogs almost home at least there is something good out of this weekend

What 18,810 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Doggies helped us out here by beating Essendrug. Now if the Lions can keep their loss to the Eagles under 70 points, we will finish the round in 7th spot.
Sir Why You Little 37,450 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Great to see Goddard hassled at the end. Just great...
praha 11,267 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Gee it's going to be tight. Not sure I can handle it. We really need to lift. Bulldogs and Hawks both coming home strong. Saints are still with a sniff. It's a bad time of year to be playing average football. We need to jump out of this slump. We're 1-3 in the past month. Need to finish this forthcoming month 3-1 at the least imo.
John Crow Batty 8,892 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Thanks to Goddard's idiocy the Essendon percentage is now lower than ours. Every little morsel helps with such a tight finals race.
danielE288 781 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 On a side note Dogs coming back to 2016 form today. Could cause problems if they make finals.
Diamond_Jim 12,772 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Could the Pies beat Adelaide and keep alive a slim chance of making the finals ......... strange season

Makes me a bit happier to see the bummers lose. Gee if the crows lose today question marks will be asked about them winning a GF on the G. They are missing Betts terribly with his crumbing and Collingwood have a lot of open space to run into.
SaberFang 7,151 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Surely it's too late for the Pies to make a finals run. Aren't they on 7 wins? So they need to win every game from here and have a superior percentage than any other 12 win team? I'll be [censored] myself if we're both on 11 wins come round 23. Bizarre season.
Redleg 42,144 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Young Pies seem pretty desperate to win. Dont seem to have any problem laying a tackle either.
praha 11,267 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Crows look flat. Just like we did. Playing similarly poorly. Anyone else and we lose by 10+ goals yesterday. I think both are still feel the effect of playing in Darwin. Both teams came up against top 8 sides and played hard, contested football. We'll bounce back next week.
danielE288 781 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Playing for Bucks probably finals pretty unlikely.
Wadda We Sing 10,685 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Well done bullies, see ya later Essendon.....also feel marginally better...
Sir Why You Little 37,450 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Geez we really blew a great opportunity yesterday....

Yep, increasingly looks like a win yesterday would've cemented us in finals. Now we need to win 3 out of 4 to guarantee anything. The last thing we needed in this last month is the added pressure of [censored] up our most successful season in a decade. Next week is crucial, we can't just rely on other results anymore.
