Demonland 74,809 Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Off to TIO Stadium, Darwin to play Adelaide. Does anyone know if we've played them there before for premiership points? The last time these teams met was a mere two months ago just after Jesse Hogan's illness was diagnosed but not yet divulged publicly. We were also without any tall ruckman but we beat them anyway by dominating the midfield. This time around, it's the opposite - our entire centre line who were so instrumental in the win will be missing. ADELAIDE B: Jake Kelly, Daniel Talia, Luke Brown HB: Rory Laird, Kyle Hartigan, David Mackay C: Rory Sloane, Richard Douglas, Brodie Smith HF: Tom Lynch, Josh Jenkins, Wayne Milera F: Andy Otten, Taylor Walker, Eddie Betts FOLL: Sam Jacobs, Rory Atkins, Matt Crouch I/C: Charlie Cameron, Brad Crouch, Curtly Hampton, Troy Menzel EMG: Jordan Gallucci, Hugh Greenwood, Reilly O'Brien IN: Wayne Milera Troy Menzel OUT: Riley Knight (corked gluts) Jake Lever (hamstring), MELBOURNE B: Michael Hibberd, Tom McDonald, Neville Jetta HB: Jayden Hunt, Sam Frost, Bernie Vince C: Nathan Jones, Jack Viney, Christian Salem HF: Christian Petracca, Jack Watts, Clayton Oliver F: Jeff Garlett, Sam Weideman, Mitch Hannan FOLL: Cameron Pedersen, Jordan Lewis, Dom Tyson I/C: Tomas Bugg, Dean Kent, Oscar McDonald, Josh Wagner EMG: Alex Neal-Bullen, Billy Stretch, Sam Weideman IN: Dean Kent Sam Weideman OUT: Jesse Hogan (ill) Jay Kennedy-Harris (omitted)
Adzman 2,163 Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 We were lucky leaver missed last time. Leaver v Dees this time around which will make it so much harder for us.
jumbo returns 6,748 Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 This may get ugly No Jones, Viney or Salem, with Watts and Tyson still in doubt.. But Gawn gets some more game time, as will Jesse
Jack son 5 162 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Off topic, is there free transport from Darwin to TIO? Would be keen to hear from those who have made the Darwin trek as to what's on offer for members.
Demon Jack 7,290 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Another test for the boys with yet another six day break. Tyson will be a big in if declared fit. We desperately need some more ball-winning midfielders out on the park.
CityDee 738 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 We can scrap out another win. Make it ugly they will hate it .

Mate - we're not Andrew Demitriou's Swans Circa '06 - we can beat them through the centre and on the outside.... *tough to do without Viney and Co
What 18,810 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 If Vince can shut down Sloane again like last time we are halfway to winning.
chookrat 4,273 Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Adelaide at TIO is a great opportunity to scrap out another win. Tyson and/or Watts will be important ins to improve clearance differential and improve our ball movement. The rest of the game will be based on pressure, intensity and execution on our game plan across the 22. We are good enough to win but it will not be easy.

No but the council puts on some buses back to cbd you have to be quick coz there is zero info on where at the stadium the bus leaves from
jackaub 1,402 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Had the misfortune to attend a mfc bbq at fanny bay (love that name) was a complete disaster hope it has improved

With almost nothing to lose would be good to see Trenners have a run. He could be just the unknown that they don't know how to handle.

And I'm pretty certain it was free even without a match ticket. Otherwise, public transport is super cheap in Darwin.
