I liked that last one from player #25. He has a bright future I reckon...

How was his pass to TMac - the ball bobbled up, a stride and then pin-point delivery. He can really play, this guy.

You could blindfold Mitch Hannan and put him in a mashing machine for 2 hours and he'd still step out and snap a goal. Kid has some serious goal awareness

Watching all the goals, ANB had an excellent and unheralded game.  Kicked 2 and was heavily involved in a few others. He is improving all the time.

Mitch has been fantastic, and his contribution seems to be growing by the week.  As you say, "some serious goal awareness", but much more than that!  His diverse skill set (pace, high marking and ground ball gets) make him hard to match up on, and he complements our forward structure beautifully.   Further, his stints in the midfield are becoming more and more valuable.  Great pickup!

100% agree. We love him!

Will watch that last goal over and over again for the next decade, or until we win a premiership.

Watching those goals shows how much Stretch and Neil-Bullen contributed to the team beyond the goals they kicked themselves.

Likewise, Melksham and Harms did some very tidy things in setting up others.

Oliver usually contributes so well through the guts, but some of his forward 50 entrys were also sublime - that sidestep followed by the well weighted pass to Melksham, shows that there is much more than winning the hard ball and handballs to this lad.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
