The problem always used to be "who are we going to sign in the off-season" and luring a "big fish" to the club. How good is it now to know that we have our own "big fish" and we just have to keep them.

Might be looking at upgrading his contract now to make sure it levels out for future years. For example if he's on a fairly base salary now - say $200,000, if we waited until the end of next year and he keeps on the same improvment then his next 3 might cost us $600,000pa ($1.8m). Instead we might look to still pay him the same $2m over 4 years, but be able to bring $300k or more into next season, so when Hogan, Tracc, Oliver etc. come due we've got a bit more in the kitty to keep the band together.

Hunt's effectiveness rating is enhanced simply by the opposition having to witness the dasher breaking the lines - very demoralising.

He can leave but on the way out the door Jayden has to hand back all the bits we have given him like the good back, two extra yards of pace, headbands and the budding cult figure persona.

Jayden has the tools to play wing and forward flank as well. Has gone forward a couple of time with good effect, and he loves a goal...

Best thing about Hunt is he looks like he can play many parts of the ground. Recently he's been getting a fair few inside 50s, which suggests he's being given a license to cover many parts of the ground. Looked quite comfortable forward as well vs Adelaide (I think?), showed some serious flair, he's got really strong hands for someone who looks fairly skinny.
