With Adams, get the feeling that saying & thinking are entirely independent of each other.

Strong touch of the Mitch Robinson's.

That's why you put your hand in your pocket and pay 400+ a year for a reserved seat in the Melbourne Football Club members.

Gee, I'd love to be able to spend $1,500 every year on my membership, but I buy my MCC/MFC membership and attend every Victorian-based match and some interstate. I do my bit and I'm [censored] off that it still doesn't get me reserved seats.

I just copped the $20 fee per reserved seat for this year after the debacle we got into last year

That's an interesting aspect to explore, having been able to afford and had the appropriate sponsors, I've never pursued MCC  membership. Probably my blue collar roots. The thing I've never known is how much of the MCC $ every year goes to the MFC?

To be clear, I'm bemoaning the MCC, not the MFC. And I suspect it's the $60-80 that you add on top of your MCC membership for a dual membership.

Yeah, we ended up going outside of the MCC last year and they were all reserved, so we went back into the MCC and sat on Level 4. We could just make out the game from up there. I hated it.

We paid the $10 fee for the Richmond game and it was totally worth it and were going to do that here too, but they're all sold out now.

Look I agree but bruise free stuck for a while.  This needs to go answered as well.

As a reluctant armchair expert - and thinker of all things implicit - as much as I hope Hogan plays and we revert back to 'ducks and drakes' with team selection - I don't recall Goodwin ever bullshiting anyone.... he has the straightest bat I have seen in a long time. Thus, Hogan not to play :(

This, you may want to double-check the contemporary usage of the phrase. (I can't Freud for [censored], but I can pedantize till Armageddon :)).

The MCC is already sold out on Level 1, so I'm getting there when the gates open just to get a bloody decent seat. You pay your $700+ for a membership and you struggle to get a seat. Ridiculous.

Do what we did and buy reserved seats. We have 13 seats close to where we normally sit. Saves getting there early. Hope you get a good seat.

The ANZAC Eve game is as big on the calendar now. The significance of QB is not as great as it once was. Clearly a big game though with both teams 5 and 5.

They are also a rubbish team. Yeah they've won three straight, against three  teams equally as crap as them

We will belt them

Has a very QB 2000 feel about it both teams around even in terms of ladder but going in opposite directions. Hopefully a big win can spark a big second half of the season as it did then.

I'm just glad Dawes hasnt come out and said "they are ripe for the picking" (or something similar) cause that would be embarrassing !

Because Taylor Adams knows all about success. You know, with his career high ladder position being 11th.

We call that a sledge?

Slow news day?

I guess its your time perspective but they have won a flag in recent memory and Collingwood is a very strong club arguably the strongest.  Yes as a playing unit today middle ranking but so are we.

Its a slow news beat up and if that passes for a shot across our bows we arent that desperate for motivation surely?

Oh yes we are. Save the Adelaide game & doing it for Hogan, our first halves have been The Return of the Sleepwalkers.

Obviously "preparing for" and "copping with" the oppositions best are independent of each other Dr!!

The Melbourne members area in the Olympic stand is a better vantage point IMO and it only costs $295 for home games. My seat is waiting for me on Monday.

Hibberd      Frosty!        Jetta

Vince    T. McDonald    Hunt

Salem        Lewis        Jones!!

Petracca    Watts        Hannan

Garlett      Pederson   Harmes

Spencer    Oliver!!!       Viney

Tyson   Neal-Bullen  Melksham  Bugg

Wagner   O.McDonald  JKH

Wagner unlucky.

Bottom line with Bugg is he has had 9 shots and a hook out of bounds at goal in 3 weeks. Playing and creating quite well. Odds are in his favour for a few to go straight.

Spencer in means T McDonald can go back and pushes brother out. Much stronger and more mature down back now.

Really keen to see if Pederson can maintain quality numbers with designated ruckman back. He is playing strong footy. Watts should also benefit.

Cannot wait!! Does anyone know how many they are predicting at the ground?

Absolute season defining game! If we can win, and Sydney win tonight. You have a full house at Etihad again the week after, 7 v 8... Navy and red everywhere!! Hogan back!! Go Dees!!

Garlett. None of the Pies defenders will be able to stop him.

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
