Thank god I'm not a Gold Coast supporter. They have been absolutely pathetic this quarter despite the game being well and try up for grabs.

You are a MFC supporter though, that has to be even more frustrating, but hopefully we're done with our share of pathetic

84-13 since the 7 minute mark of the third.

I reckon Watts is carrying an injury, the rest will do him good.  An injured Watts is still better than other choices.

good win in the end -  mentally we didn't cave, we kept at it.  Glad I don't spend the day slinging shite on the players and club.  The negativeness when we are down is pathetic.

Oh and we are back in the 8 - not bad for a pathetic, lazy, not in it, bottom four team (your words fellow posters, not mine)!

Simple case of rope a dope.

Play like we are knackered for a half then come out full of run in the second half.

What a game by Jeffy! Best on ground and a five goal haul for Indigenous Round

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
