I suffer from terminal amnesia. Give an ex digger a clue?

I'm old enough to demand, don't riddle me!

I know, you're an extra terrestrial ring in, brought to terra firmus on the wings of the Phantom.

Also, I'm a busy man. I have my finger in many meat pies. Some days I don't know whether it's Monday or Monday week.

All that is constant is the scintillating commentary from my beautiful wife - all Polish girls are genetically blessed with the god given gift of pulchritude - and the constant demands of a teenage daughter, who is at least 50% genetically correct ,who mistakes her father for an ATM.

ok a hint. you commented on the lilting sound of my forebears

Yes, apologies, D stands for Da and C stands for Celt.

Must say, you're a cultured chap, can't say that for a lot of the respondents.

By da wey, lov the banter.

It is what it is. Been there a few times. Problem was the car parking. Eftpos? WtF?

Its called planning your day.

It was a great day.  Picnic rugs, chairs in the outer, great playing conditions. Just need  to be flexible.  Got out of the carpark in a 1/10 of the time as at the ' G ' too.

Dolce for those who know what to expect. Me, I'm just a Box Hill Bogan who wants to watch his team 50 kilometres away at Casey Fields. How was I to know one needed the accouterments alluded to above?

Like I said, this is 2017. One shouldn't need to fork out $38 in cash when there is money in the bank and one can use this facility in just about any money-making/losing venture in Australia. If it was to be a Cash Only venture then one needs to INFORM one's clientele. Failure to keep your customers informed and happy is simply bulldust.

So you know the ropes. Any mercy for those who don't?????

The 'year' setting on my watch would take a beating flying from Perth to Melbourne then driving to Casey. Would I be travelling to the future then back to the past or would it be the present again if Casey were equal to Perth?

I went to a WAFL game last season and I couldn't get in because I didn't have any shillings.

And you guys think you have it hard.

I was going to India last month but they cancelled the note equivalent of the $10 and $20 notes. That represented 86% of the currency on issue in a country where 90% plus of the transactions are in cash. To say it caused chaos is an understatement.

Came to Hanoi instead. Not much eftpos here but the bia hoi (fresh beer) is cheap!!

You should head north to the Dong Van region if you have the time Diamond Jim. I was there just recently and it's an absolutely stunning part of the globe. Take cash.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
