The question has to be asked: why on the outer at Port?

Pick 4.

Very talented.

Great long penetrating kick.

Hard at it.

Often compared to Hodge from what I've heard.

I've not watched much of Port this year, so would appreciate some feedback from those who have.

Has he been running only one way?

Making poor decisions?

Wayward kicking? Ineffective?

Not finding the footy? Flashing in & out?

Would love to know.

And then would still probably go hard after him.

Just the type we need, go and get him Roos and co

He's a jet.

I can't believe the Power would be turfing him to create salary space for Dixon.

He's two to three times the player that Dixon is.

Classic SA boy who never wanted to leave his home state, so hard to believe he'd pick us over the Crows.

Nevertheless... Get. It. DONE.

He's an Adelaide boy, right?

If so, the Crows would possibly be better placed to land him than us. Perhaps we need to have him chat to Bernie?

Posts crossed. Was thinking exactly the same thing.

This can't be true, surely.

They have some serious talent $$$. Can't keep em all.

Is there much else to the rumour other than Caro?

Obviously he would be a terrific player to get, and with Dixon commanding good money and Shulz re-signing I'm sure they need the cap room. Add Ryder to the mix from last year and Wingard's contract coming up soon and it kind of makes sense.

Hartlett is an SA boy so we will do well to convince to come across the border.

Is he contracted?

Until the end of next season I believe.

Pick 6 for Hamish and a second rounder seems fair, doesn't it?

Lose the second rounder and I think that would be a win-win.

Pick 6 is a bit rich

Pick 6 is a bit rich

Is it? I would hope to get a player of Hartlett's quality with it at the draft.

I think pick 6 on its own is a fair trade off and Port may even want more. He's a lock-and-loaded B+ midfielder, contracted and 25 y/o. We won't get him cheap.
