in 2017 we have a 100% win record with Pedersen in the team.

71% win record with Pedersen in the team.

40% win record without Pedersen in the team.

Long may it continue.

Pedo is showing why he was retained instead of Dawes.

He can play ruck in a pinch.

He can mark overhead.

And he can also play the bullocking forward role Dawesy used to play.

No way he gets dropped next week. The only difference between now and next week is that he rucks in the forward line and when Gawny needs a breather.

I'd actually be interested to see what his response would be to how good Pedersen has been since coming into the side.

Did he get a perma-ban or has he just not come back?

Where is Stuiei I miss him

Pedders has been such a valuable contributor this season there is no way you could possibly drop him: found his best footy at age 30 and looks to be loving the contest.

Not sure about handballing while lying on your back to a small forward after taking a mark 15 out straight in front though!!

I agree. Almost worthy of a 5 year contract extension.

The bloke's a legend.

If he does not get a 2018 extension we should storm the barricades

His 25 metre handpass from the centre was a thing of beauty  today.

The other one was just a party trick.

??

I've always believed in Pedo, but it's as if he's started believing in himself. Playing with absolute confidence at the moment.

I'm banned from stuies page on Facebook. He even found my wife's profile and banned her too. Kim Jong stuie can't handle another's opinion. He is like a little spoilt fat kid who's mother won't buy him a piece of cake.

Chucks a tanty and bans you. He is the only admin on his stupid Facebook group. Says a lot about the bloke.

Haha Mr.  Armstrong

Fail again

Pedo is Best 22 (18) He has been fantastic ever since Roosy pushed him to go harder.

Same thing happened to me when I very calmly explained how Mitch Clarke shouldn't be free of fair criticism just because of his condition.

It's actually a real problem. Facebook is a massive, if not the most massive piece of social media. When you look up MFC groups his was the first that came up. You can't have something that has such a big chunk of supporter interest being run by a peanut like this guy. Someone really should do something about it.

I was sick of the sook fest that his page was, so I tried to get kicked off. Even called him a C&@t publicly and he didn't do anything. Had to just leave instead. Worst page ever

Bahahaha that is brilliant!!!

Remember during the off-season when we were all worrying about our perceived lack of a forward/ruck?

If it hadn't been for Gawn, Spencer and to a lesser degree Hogan going down with injury, Pedo would've been stranded in the magoo's and we'd still be concerned about playing an under-developed Weideman alongside Hoges. Who knows how the W/L ratio might be looking now of that was the case but it's completely irrelevant anyway.

The #PedersenFacts are that this bloke has stood tall when opportunity came knocking and seized it with both hands.

The confidence the coaches have placed him mustn't be understated either. The bloke is playing on instinct and it's a marvelous thing to watch.

The other thing the weekend may have thrown up (and ive defended Spenc) is with Macca doing a decent job in the ruck does it potentially push Spenc even further down the pecking order?

PS stuie isn't the only one who had other ahead of Peds, and in saying that Peds did need the kick in the pants to reach his current level.

Peds will be hard to leave out from here in, great problem for coaches to have.

Watching 'all the goals' on the club site, I was interested to note the high number of goals that Pedo had a direct hand in. About 5 or 6 from my calculations.

Not bad for...... a depth player :cool:

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.
