The Tiges could end up being the first club to have it's very own witness protection program.

Or all its membership done for consorting!

Poor Caro. Does she duck for cover, charge her ammo  ( all a quiver ) ...does she command a family meeting to orchestrate a coup ?

What instills more terror, the names of Mitchell and Martin, or Cameron and Schwabb ??

What's left for a Toiges fan to do ? Members card already nuked .. sigh ... The perpetual dilemma, buy a butchers cart of chicken hearts or seek out the last of The night men for a city delivery ?

But the writing was always on the wall ...they bought a Jeep !! :P

Isn't it obvious? Dump a truckload of poo outside the club and then microwave it ... :)

Miss Wilson makes it sound so very nice when she writes about a "bloodless coup" but take it from me, these things are usually very nasty and the Richmond situation is anything but polite.

Expect much bitterness and rancour especially over the heavy cost of replacing the coach in the event that this course is deemed necessary at some stage in the future.

WIlson now going in to bat for her mates claiming dodgy people are trying to take over the club. This is something new. Football clubs are a natural environment for dodgy types to take over and make themselves feel at home.

If the less-than-reputable people get control of the club, it will be interesting to see if Richmond can continue to hold a poker machine licence.

Is it possible some of their players are already in witness protection and what we're seeing are stand-ins with a passing resemblance to a football team?

http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/damien-hardwick-not-giving-up-on-richmond-as-he-looks-to-2017-season/news-story/e02c992e2d36b0c1dab6ff2487ecc929Macca’s take on Damien Hardwick and Richmond’s season.

You really have to wonder about this mob!   They have 72,000 members, rolling in money, a great CEO and stable Board.  They have actually won 7 games this year.  Anyone would think they had not won any and about to get the wooden spoon!  All I can say is they have a good chance of beating the Pies tonight and Saints in a few weeks if they get their act together a bit.

So they will end up between 7 - 9 games but want to lynch all and sundry!  Crazy!!

And so the cycle of mediocrity continues. And if they think they'll be able to get Prestia without giving up their 1st Round draft pick, then they're as deluded as Hardwick is for thinking they'll play finals in 2017.

There is no scenario where they get Prestia without giving up pick 6, unless they trade out one of Martin, Cotchin, Rance or Deledio.

I just can't see Prestia going to Richmond anyway.

I hope sanity prevails for the kid and he chooses sustained success over money and the inevitable bottom-out rebuild (especially after putting up with Gold Coast's stagnating development), but maybe there's more to his injury than we know.

In any event, Richmond are the only club dumb enough to give up pick 6 and $700,000 for him, simply due to their wounded pride. Their unprofessionalism over the Treloar snub has been embarrassing, and to allow that to influence list management decisions is beyond asinine.

Prestia will not take Richmond to the Promised Land and I think he knows that.

I know he couldn't say much publicly regarding trading Deledio, but his scoffing at the idea of Jack Steele AND Marchbank for Deledio was interesting. Behind closed doors he'd surely have to be giving that sort of offer serious consideration.

It's difficult to tell if the refusal to accept where they are at is more of a Hardwick problem or a Richmond problem.

Presumably Leon Davis is not Bachor Houli's sponsor.

If I was the Gold Coast I would let them keep pick 6 and ask for Deledio and next years pick first round... Odds on it will be in the top 4. And since Richmond think they are going to in finals they will happily do it.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
