Dawes isn't in the leadership group.

"Superficial knowledge" hey... Ironic.

That's because Dawes mouths off before a Hawks game and then proceeds to stink it up.

You can clearly relate to Dawes and his tough talk.

I prefer to have the skills of Bernie talk for us, which he does most weeks.

I like Bernie, but I've rarely seen an experienced senior player make the mistakes he does.  And he does it every single week.

Might explain why the Crows saw him as surplus.

Though he has been very good for us,

As I said, he's a great player and great bloke, but that doesn't mean he's a great leader.

But hey if you like leaders who give away 3 crucial mistakes that cost us games because you think it's tough then you really are stuck in the past.

Vince plays on the edge and is out there doing everything possible to turn the game in our favour- it's what Roos brought him here for and the license he was given. When you're playing on the edge it's easy for it to go the other way but seriously with what he's brought to the club I don't see how any silly errors could possibly come close to countering the upside of this guy being in the 22.

Wasn't there a thread last week criticising and questioning Jones? I guess that died down after his 34 possession, 8 tackle effort against West Coast.

Most weeks Jones and Vince show up and they bring it, starting a thread to criticise either of them for having a quiet day (by their usual standards) after a loss isn't warranted.

Hes one of about 5 great leaders we now have.

We previously only had Jones .

Don't give a rats that he gave away frees.

We were not even worthy of him until some twerp in Adelaide decided he was surplus.

You would go well in the crows footy dept.

Constant irrational presumptions like your and their are how we got Bernie and Garlett.

Vince, Jones, Viney, Gawn, Watts. "Great" is a matter of interpretation though.

Just read your post after posting but easy isn't it?

Yeah fair enough mate. I love all 5 of those blokes, I just don't think we have a "great leader" at this stage. Viney will likely become that with a bit more experience. Vince and Viney bust their guts, Watts is a great bloke as is Gawn, but I just don't think we have a "great leader" at this stage. Kieran Jack is a "great leader", Roo is a "great leader" as are Selwood and Murphy. None of our guys are in that category.

Did something happen to the guy during the week? I cant recall him ever playing this bad for either us or Adelaide. He really looked listless and just awful today (though he wasnt alone, viney was half asleep)

That final kick was lazy, lazy, lazy. You could tell as soon as Lynch cut it off, Bernie was thinking, "WTF did I just do?" Almost cost us the win.

Nah - was worse than that today.  Worst game in the red and blue by far.  Hardly touched it and wasted it so many times.

Agreed, but he's had an ordinary year. Apart from a couple of games loose off half back, he's been a shadow of 2014/2015.

Why did you kick it straight to Lynch?

I'm going to let him blame the sun on this occasion.

He was staring straight into it and their colours are kind of sunny ,as they are the suns.

So maybe he couldn't see Lynch in the Sun.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
