Scores?

Not totally sure of the scores, but we lead by 81 points.  Northern Blues have only kicked 1 goal for the day.

Edit - Dawes kicks his second, it's 15-9-99 to 1-6-12.

I'd say the flood gates are open, but it is more the flood dawes. He kicks his second. 15.9.99 to 1.6.12

That was about 6 handballs leading to Dawes' second goal for this term. Most of those in the chain were senior list players.  ALL were under tackling pressure. Great composure.

Are the Bullants Cartlons VFL team?

That they are. Not as good as their AFL team.

Having never seen the Weed myself, who does he best compare to in the way he plays? Gunston? (Would be over the moon if he got to that sort of level)

Few recruiters thought he was a bit of a Pavlich clone.

Briggs kicks his 4th. He is loving life at Casey. Might need Angry at Casey to find out more about him. 19 year old - did a Google search and couldn't find anything. 105 - 18.

How on earth did they beat the pies yesterday?

They have lost 4 players, so only one on the bench for the Blues. So we are doing what we should be. Although didnt think we'd keep them to 2 goals.

Weid kicks his fourth. Love to see him kick his 5th today. 112 to 18. 17 minutes gone. Plenty of time left.

And another limps to the bench. This could get ugly if we put our heads down for the last 10 minutes.

Terlich running goal. We are up by 101. 18.11.119 to 2.6.18. It is going to be a good week on the track for the boys.

Gibbs, Murphy, Kreuzer, Cripps, Simpson, Curnow, Kerridge, Thomas. Plus Casboult was accurate.

Their top-end is very good, but then they've got 6-8 players on the field at AFL level who maybe just shouldn't be out there. It is the quiet test of whether a team is a real contender - do the supports list off a bunch of great players as if they are the answer? Richmond supporters, Collingwood supporters, Carlton Supporters... there's a pattern.

Bolton has the cream performing and the rest at least working hard, so Carlton at least can claim to have the cultural 'rebuild' under way.

Spencer on the siren.....kicks a...goal! 19.11.125 to 2.6.18.

and for you Weiderman fans out there (like myself). It is Weiderman 4.0.24 to the Northern Blues 2.6.18.

Weed's 4th was a testament to his strength in a tussle and then ability to kick a grubber off the ground around the cnr while being tackled and grappled.

And Spence kicks the last goal truly after the siren.

Great win Scorps.

So we have another Hogan then?  Excellent

For Weideman to kick more goals then the oposition itself is pretty exciting. But there is no need to rush him at all. Watts Hogan and Pedersen are doing the job for us.

Spot on, he may not even play this year, but geez it's exciting to think of Him, Hogan and Watts playing together long term!

Wow Weidermans becoming a real pillar down at Casey. Pedo is doing a good job in the seniors and also provides a second ruck option but I love the Weids himself has said that he's not in a hurry.

Newton, ANB, Dunn, and Wiederman putting their hands up. Having Weid up the front is doing the same thing that Hogan was doing when he was in his year at Casey. It gives us structure and something to kick to down the front end. 13 goals so far this season - which is one off leading the league. Hulett has 8.

A little of our issue is that Hogan, Watts and Weiderman are not ruckmen. So we still have a second ruck issue. Maybe this is Frost going from the backline into the centre. It's a really promising sign for the Dees at the moment and a good question is where does everyone fit in?

Casey have moved to top spot and now we are going to be hunted. We have a great VFL side, but that relies on our Melbourne players. Injuries will play havoc in that if people start going down. But think about what we have coming in next week with Harry, Gus, Salem, M Jones. They are 4 players who are going to make an impact at the Dees / Casey who are making us stronger.

Newton and ANB 8 each in the last term. Really great 4 quarter effort by the 2 boys. Newton is building nicely and someone who I had forgotten (read: written off) because of the injury, but could be playing his way back into the seniors.

38 disposals and 2 goals for Newton is impressive.

Alex Neal Bullen with another 30 disposals.

Amazing depth..

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
