I'm now a bit less positive than I was to Huffington Post given its use of "less" when it would be better (ie, correct) to have used "fewer".

I thought that I would insert a GIF here, so stupidly I searched analGIF.  Might have to delete my search history.

Yes, I was wondering how long it would take. I thought I had a cute accent, but I couldn't be bothered.

Ok grammar nazi nazi, just seeing you seemed to have missed it the first time, it was actually a spelling mistake rather than a grammar mistake, but hey, you know, keep going buddy, post after post complaining about pettiness is pretty ironic.

Too funny.

Actually, it was a grammar mistake and not a spelling mistake. He spelt the word correctly, but used the incorrect word. 'Then' relates to time, whereas 'than' is used in a comparative situation.

There are so many anal retentive's here, myself included. I cringe when I see bad grammar then I go and do it myself. We are in such a hurry to get our thoughts out there that sometimes we make mistakes. It is important to laugh, especially when we stuff up whilst correcting others. Guilty as charged your worship!

I reckon Ken Hinkley might well be up for grabs at the end of the year, i can easily see Richmond, Collingwood, Port and Brisbane all sacking their coaches before the year is out.

All I can say ManDee is that if you are into ornithology (bird watching), do not do a google image search for 'swallow'.

I recall having to explain a charge on my credit card from, "The Golden Swallow". I swear it was a Chinese restaurant.

Lucky man.

The guy in front of me ordered a 72.

There was no 72 on the menu, so he explained it was a 69 with 3 fingers up.........   Can we say that here?

PS:- True story. At a Chinese restaurant in Bridge Rd. I think it was after a Melbourne V Richmond match in the late 70's- Was that you?

Footy Classified tonight.  Caro is trying to defend her stance that Clarko will be coaching Collingwood next year.  The other panelists challenged her on whether she has any actual sources on that stance.  Well, no, but the facts are that Clako is unsigned and Buckley's position has never been shakier and while Hawthorn refuse to announce a new contract for Clarko they are contributing to this sort of speculation.  That right there is quality journalism.  She takes one fact, some completely unrelated speculation and makes up a story to bignote herself.

She makes a lot of stuff up about footy clubs that she hates (everyone except Richmond).

I can see you are trying to steer the thread ship here Pete, so I will add why would Clarkson, who probably doesn't need lots of it, go to a Maguire madhouse with him

looking over your shoulder all the time, and the crew out of Z nation behind him.

I don't think Clarkson will leave Hawthorn, why would you? they are a huge chance to make it four flags in a row and no signs of slowing down just yet.

I do think the pies will look at someone with that Hawthorn style though, maybe that puts someone like Brett Ratten or Cam Bruce in the frame.

I cringe when I see bad grandma as well - we have learned not to take her out in public anymore.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
