I don't care that he is gone at all

BUT the vision of him looking straight down the Camera saying

"I want to be a one club player"

i knew he was lying and as a member of the club he was lying to, Felt very angry and still do whenever i think of it.

And I am angrier than you as I for one didn't think he was lying ! grrrrrrr

One more thing, just to make things clear.

Just because I and others moved on and I don't give a stuff about him anymore and couldn't care less of something that happened a few years ago now, doesn't mean I or others have necessarily forgiven him.

Maybe it wasn't a lie?

He probably still wanted to be a one club player and would've been if GWS didn't offer him ridiculous money that only the likes of Ablett and Judd were earning at the time.

Those are extenuating circumstances for a 19 year old who hadn't proven himself at the top level yet if I've ever seen them.

Politicians do it every day. Several times. Their success depends on it.

he may have wanted to be as he stated. But knew he wasn't going to be due to stupid money. So he didn't lie, but told what he would have liked opposed to what was going to happen.

He knew what he was going to do

so did Gubby Allen.

The whole thing was an insult to MFC members

$cully had no intention of being a one club player once Gubby had whispered in his ear.

His Body Language during that Presser is the only part that doesn't lie.

Jeremy Howe thread, turns into a Tom Scully thread, the only reason I wish Tom Scully was on the list would be to take attention away from our other number 1 draft pick that thread always get drawn towards ;)

Regardless, i have no malice towards either of Scully or Howe, its a short career in football and Scully (especially) has done what is in the best interest for him and his life after football. Players move on and at the end of the day football landscape has changed especially with free agent etc. If we hadnt been clear winners from losing Scully i would be more annoyed, but at the end of the day what is an 18 year old bloke meant to say to the cameras half way through the year? "Yeh, im going to take a lucrative offer from GWS because it would be stupid to turn it down"

He didn't need to say anything. He was the one that wanted to do that press conference. He handled the whole situation very poorly, and it is for that that I despise the little rat.

I think alot of it was at a board level as well, the club is meant to do what is in the best interest of the player and i think the situation as a whole was handled poorly.

I recall enormous amounts of pressure being put on GA Jnr to say something about his intentions, to the extent that Bomber Thompson and he had a spat. Ga refused to say anything except "end of the season". He appears to also have made his deal well in advance but at least he didn't stare down the camera and say I love the club and want to remain a one club player. At least GA didn't stare down the camera and say no deal has been done. It was never about the money for me - it was about the outrageous press conference statements he made.

So, we turn a Jeremy Howe thread into a Tom Scully thread into a Jack Watts thread. We might not break the internet, but we could break Demonland.

Mind you, loyalty and FA were the key topics by traceability which led to the above post. You're right about "we". It's the nature of Demonland. We feed each other.

It amazes me that people still give Scully a moment's thought, let alone are still bitter over what happened.

The kid had millions of dollars placed in front of him. He'd frankly have been stupid not to have signed.

"But he lied to Jimmy!!!111"

Jesus, grow up.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
