Hogan/Viney Yarra Park Session

The Hulk put out this tweet earlier:

Anyone up for a kick in the park tomorrow? Thinking Yarra Park at 5.30. @jackviney7 surely you’re in?

Viney responded:

I'm keen! Would be great to get some more numbers there. Come down and get around it. See you then big fella 1f44d.png1f3fb.png1f60e.png

Tons of supporters/followers are getting on board.

Doesn't seem official, but either way it's a good idea from our players to build a bit of excitement around the club.

Or maybe it was the clubs idea and got the players to orchestrate it on social media...

oh oh Sam Blease...........

Regardless of who is behind it (club/player) it's a great way of engaging the supporters

It's part of our rebranding, new logo etc. Saw a new logo on the AFL site, just "Melbourne" with the mfc logo under it. Wonder if that is the only one or if there will be a demon appearing anywhere.

so glad I held off getting my first jersey.. looking forward to seeing the new jumpers on the back of the draftees!!

It would be kind of funny if Jesse just meant for the melbourne boys, but I took it as an open invitation. That would be pretty cool. I hope they get a lot of people down there. The kids would love it.

It's an MFC marketing thing organised to include Hogan, Viney and Pearce - definitely an open invite. I reckon it's great and I love who they've chosen; probably the three most marketable players at the club I reckon. I too hope they get a few - would be a great atmosphere.

If he just meant a private kick they'd have just texted each other.

I really like that they have involved Daisy Pearce in this and are getting her name more and more out there. She is a great ambassador for the club and also for women's football. It makes me proud to follow the club that has put so much time and effort into growing the game and getting more women involved.

we want daisy and Jesse spending as much time together as possible haha

puh-leeze......i'm not like that

Imagine the hybrid child.......

Her skill and his hair!

Lol marketing?? Can't a couple of players just have a casual kick in the park without all the conspiracies? All AFL players do it. Its just obvious Hogan and Viney are showing true leadership and get extra skills session done..

Settle down lads..

It's clearly part of the marketing mate, seriously you can't see that?

We just happen to be launching our new logo on the same day, at the same place, at the same time? Righto then...

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
