If GWS decide to play hard ball.... maybe then its not such a done deal

Afterall whos to say GWS don't say f u Collingwood, we'll let him go to the PSD afterall we have list full of talent... Just to prove a point and stuff over the Pies

It would be nice

It sets an awful precedent though that would have ramifications for how they are treated by other clubs in the future. If the Pies come to the trade table and play ball then Treloar goes to the Pies.

Imagine if they offered a good deal and GWS told them to get stuffed? No one would want to deal with them again.

Face facts - Treloar will be a Pie by the end of the 2 trade weeks.

Agree with your top two points

Its not set in stone he will be a pie. history says though he more then likely will be

I believe the pies are pretty reasonable to deal with (negotiate these things) I was more thinking if the Pies give an average offer and try force GWSs hand..... I should have mentioned its highly unlikely

I agree with that though - if the Pies try to low ball GWS then they should definitely either send him to the PSD or try and look to deal with others. Pies won't do that though... well, they might to begin with, but if they see sense they'll do the right thing as any club would be stoked to have Treloar.

I don't see why some posters have to comment on (mindless) positive speculation. Just let posters have their fun if they want it. That's the fun at this time of year (rather than the finals series, unfortunately). Go easy on the negativity for a while. It's tiresome.

So "reality" has now become "negativity"?

Happy to let posters have their "fun", as long as you can promise that none of them will at any stage slag off Taylor or Viney for "letting" Dangermouse & Treloar (or Bennell or Aaron Hall or ...) get to other clubs. I'm all for indulging in fantasy, as long as it doesn't get confused with reality.

Is it weird that there has been no mention of us being interested in or going hard for Treloar?

I don't know what to think of it...

Josh Mahoney wasn't even asked about it on SEN this arvo and I thought Schwarz would be the first to ask?

Has he just refused to talk us like Caddy did those years back?

I think you've answered your own question - he may well have indicated to us early that he has no interest in playing for us, much like Caddy and Taylor Adams have done in the past. The club have probably decided not to waste their time and focus their energies elsewhere.

If the Saints are sniffing around though then I see no reason why he would go there over us. Wouldn't make any sense to me.

Perhaps.

The 'Saints in the running' talk throws a spanner straight at that line of thinking.

The Sainters.

Fark me.

Surely Pies don't have room for both Treloar and now Aish has nominated them. I guess it won't be hard to pick up Kennedy

Maybe they've given up on Trelor and grabbed Aish before the Hawks

Why is Treloar not our number one target?

He, Wines, Mitchell and Prestia are the best under 23 midfielders in the game, and Treloar wants a return to VIC.

We should be a major player for his services, and he is worth any long term deal.

Who says he's not...

Yep I'm surprised as well

I would think he fits all criteria to bring in a potential gun

Surely of hed consider the blues (not i belive Andy Maher) we could cash him up and get the deal done with gws

Esit - phone... ahh bugger it

What the.. didn't he already nominate Collingwood??

Fat Ed already promised his Mrs a job at his media company. Unless the AFL investigated that and disqualified them from getting his signature... though it hasn't stopped them in the past (the ludicrous Footy Show guest appearance fees for Swan, Cloke, Shaw, etc.)

The press are taking the GWS stance of 'we will deal with anyone until a deal is done' thing and suggesting that all these clubs will try and trump the Pies to his signature. There is nothing in it as they would have had their chance to put forward their case all year... and he still chose the Pies. Unless the Pies decide to become tighter than a mermaids bra then he will end up at the Emirates with McChins.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
