GAME DAY - Round 21

Featured Replies

Pretty sure I'll be cancelling my membership. Waste of money.

lol, and now its 51 to 8 with 8 mins left till half time....

Is it possible to lose to Carlton by 100 points?

How much more do we as dees supporters have to put up with.

I am at a loss as to why this club continues to screw its own supporters week in week out.

I love this club but it is seriously killing my spirit for the game.

When does it come to a point of where u say enough is enough.

Tom Lynch should re-sign with Adelaide if he has any sense

Jones has only had 4 touches up till now... none this qtr

I'm done.

I'm not buying a membership again until there is a consistent, week on week quality. I'll buy one mid-season if that's the case.

I feel sorry for people working off-field.

My purchasing options now are performance based: perform, and I buy a membership.

I deserve being able to make that choice. I deserve being able to jump on the bandwagon. We all do.

Melbourne are out to 9 dollars in the betting, would have a few dollars on them but still a bit unders.

GRIMES YOU ARE A [censored] SPUD!!!

1 goal in perfect conditions

I was going to pay the membership next week...

How is there defence holding up so well

Run Jesse run!!!!!!!

The lack of care for each other and the club is disgusting.

We can't even get consistency of effort.......what hope are we then of actually executing a gameplan?

We are damn slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This club is the pits. Can't beat a side that doesn't want to win.

This is worse than 186. I'm not sure how the club can come back from an afternoon like this. Everyone has to be put under scrutiny after this.

GRIMES AGAIN!!!

[censored] OFF!!!!

56 to 8 with ANOTHER Carlton goal.

What is happening ???

This is the end of Grimes career right here right now

I don't mind losing (used to it) but this is so painful to watch.

1 goal in a half, isn't good enough.

Watching St Kilda last night, we are a long way off improving.

Last year both 4 wins.

They've improved. We've won a few more games.

Umps should be lined up and shot.

Watched as much as I can.
Roos was right. The team is waiting for this year to end.
They seriously don't care. Why should I?

Does anyone know if they trained hard this week?

Melbourne don't do many things that really shock me, but this really shocks me.

Sorry Jack Grimes, Jeremy Howe, Chris Dawes, Colin Garland... your " services" are no longer required.

senior players who are missing in a winnable game again.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
