A public nuisance? Wow, really serious.

I find the whole thing ridiculous really.

He is the unluckiest bloke to have been caught out when somebody provided that picture of him snorting you know what because I would say 80 percent of players within the AFL would be doing the same thing during the off-season. They're recreational drugs and the reality is that kids aged 18-26 ish will experiment with these kinds of drugs in a way that is perhaps less 'carefully thought out' than guys in the older age bracket. Of course it doesn't 'look good' when news like that is leaked but it ain't noting but the truth.

The way people paint these kids is as though they're criminals. Harley obviously has some settling down to do. As he gets older he'll learn to party more 'responsibly'.

I'd have no issue in bringing him to the club.

The reality is AFL players get treated like royalty at bars and clubs. They get served coke and women on a platter. There's bound to be a few (read: a lot) who just can't control themselves. See Franklin, L.

If Roos thinks he can be turned around i reckon weer can get him for unders.

He is exactly what we need on field. And i feel like we have a pretty good off field culture right now that may be able to absorb a little bit of this.

Relocation can do wonders for behavior.

Up to Roos though.

Would be prepared to offer up a 3rd round pick. Anything more than that I wouldn't even entertain talks.

Take those glasses off.

I'd give our second-rounder in a heart beat and I'd even consider our first-rounder if there were an exchange of picks.. I doubt GC would even entertain a second-rounder though.

The bloke is an unbelievable talent.

Yes.

/thread.

Seriously though, Roos has turned around the likes of Garlett, Nick Davis, helped Bazza Hall channel his anger issues. He's the Troubled Player Whisperer.

Watts + 2nd rounder for Bennell + third round pick?

EDIT: If Watts is off to Richmond, for what I suspect will be a pick in the 30-35 range, could we move on Toumpas + Richmond pick for Bennell? Would GC bite?

The Toump has no currency praha no point even trying - better to keep him for a year, play him through the seniors and if he isn't great off load him once he's had some exposure.

Not coming to the Demons. Source: Bennell family, he also won't be coming back to Perth.

Shut up Ethan, I hate you.

Redact! Redact!

Emergency!

Nobody knows about that, the law says so!

Any idea as to which club is his preference?

Apparently it is the one he wanted to get into when he had the altercation with the bouncer.

Staying put at GC or Port Adelaide.

How can Port afford him if they're paying Dixon 3.5 mill in an already tight cap?

Just his preference, I'll confirm if it was Adelaide or Port. They did say Port but I've heard him linked to Adelaide previously.

Wouldn't want him if we only had to give up pick 89.

He's a classmate in the Fevola-Angwin School of Stupidity and Team Disruption.

Wouldn't want anyone to come in and disrupt our perfectly cultivated, losing brand of footy now would we mauriesy.

Tbh, I would not even say no to Benny Cousins at this point. Besides, Harley Bennell is a star with the attributes we're lacking.

Difficult one. Great footballer, troubled man. Wouldn't give up a top ten pick for him.

Would give up pick 5 for sure. The latest news is a nothing story, oh he got into a scuffle with a bouncer? Big deal. The bouncer was probably baiting him

Every chance he still demands a high pick on the table.

I'd probably do the deal and back our group to guide him through. Certainly think someone like Heretier would be a better role model than Carmichael!

The boys got issues no doubt, but think it would be wrong of the industry to turn it's back on him. It probably has an obligation after directly or indirectly enabling some of these behaviours.

This is just a small part of a bigger story. Are you forgetting that he was caught on tape snorting cocaine? The Suns gave a directive to their players to go easy on Mad Monday celebrations, they didn't want any more headlines. He just screams of trouble maker. I wouldn't be disappointed if we weren't into him.

This is a tough one. As a player, he has everything we crave. Class, pace, skill, x-factor. Off field, he has everything we don't need! I would love to have him but Monde is right. Surely he would have known that Mad Monday is when the press would be on red alert for bad behaviour. If we do go for him, we can't spend our first rounder (pick 6 or 7) on him.

Was wavering to taking a punt on him, but on info received of late

Absolute No

Can't say anymore, but it could really come back to hurt the club and it's image

Don't care what his football attributes are. Don't care how cheap he'll come. His personal attributes are lacking. He has no character.

Just because we need star footballers doesn't mean we need to pick up trouble.

Good enough for me 'Pennant'.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
