I dont see how it could be. Not like they're human.

Hey even maggots have feelings... I think

I dont see how it could be. Not like they're human.

That was along my line of thinking too....

Another example of how the AFL shafts weaker sides. Continually scheduled in low key games/timeslots which is where the lower quality/trainee umpires are put, to try to hide them from the majority of the AFL public.

As a result, our games are routinely poorly umpired and there's a lack of consistency from week to week.

I reckon you've almost nailed it here, except the bolded should read contest to contest

7 behind at the half. I'll take that.

How many time have I said that so far this year?

Its the 3rd quarter efforts - its where we lose these close games every time.

Havnt seen such one sided umpiring in a long time

Has to be the worst umpiring I've seen in a long time. You know they've jumped the shark when even senile Leigh Matthews gets emotional at a decision.

All you want with umpiring is consistency. So where are all our bloody frees for dropping the ball not to mention high to Vince. So frustrating

I know we are only 7 points down but that was pathetic.. 3 goals in a half vs Saint Kilda on our home turf LOL

If we dont win this game we may as well fold

A massive 2nd half from the Demons is non negotiable

... and we're only 7 points down

Kicking at 76% efficiency apparently.

No doubt about that, but what I was thinking is more that our players (and those of other small clubs) might adjust to how a game is umpired through the game, but the next week it's different and they get caught doing things they thought were fine the last week.

Come out after the break breathing fire!

Viney, Vanders, Jones, Dawes etc. I want you to flatten those kids.

Then I might just be able to forget the last few "weaks" of footy

The first quarter was disgraceful, but at least we kept them goalless that second quarter. Our ball use and decision-making has been deplorable though. At this rate, St Kilda will win by a couple of goals.

They should be careful. Pretty sure you're not allowed to touch anyone wearing white uniforms today.

Watts is as lazy a chaser as Bate.

I'm not sure if you've noticed but he's covering a heap of ground and probably been our best player today. His pressure and clearance work has been good.

Jeez....you still don't get it, do you?

The team is not about heavy scoring...they've become grinders, zoners, being responsible for a man and space.

If they keep up the discipline, they should win and I doubt the Saints will score again.

Listening to the game on the radio,, MFC supporters getting vocal...come on dees we need this one

We have gotten nothing from Brayshaw, Garlett, Hogan and Vandenberg

Lift boys come on

We are deers in headlights for sure, but there has to be some kind of directive coming from AFL house to screw us over. When you see what kind of putrid crap the umpires drop their shorts and dump on the ground and then rub in our faces, it can't be all down to chance.

Glad I came home to thaw out after the Scorps game instead of going onto the G.

Clearly what we do defensively works.

It's just a shame what we do the other way doesn't.

Grimes can find the footy but just fluffs it up so much. I'm not sure how many times Roosy has said they need to take the first option but the message ain't getting through.

When things aren't going his way Hogan does tend to drop his head a bit. His kicking is still a concern too.

Brayshaw has been good. There's no such thing as a 50/50 contest when he's involved because he always wins it.

The others sure.

Watts 18 touches to half time - is that a PB?

He has been very consistent since being dropped

Grimes - 18

Viney - 17

I know we are trying to play on to keep the ball moving and stretch their defence but DONT handball to someone next to you if he has 2 opponents next to him.

Seems like the whole team is trying to be like Lumumba
