GAME DAY - Round 15

Featured Replies

Sad, need an effort.

Put Mcdonald Forward, Hogan back. Something!

Need drastic change.

Does Roos know the meaning of insanity.

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Forward line isn't working!!!

[censored] this [censored]

Worst loss under roos by a mile.

Sick to death of this team and this club

This is a team that is dead and buried and we have just capitulated for no [censored] reason

Anyone blaming the Darwin game is kidding themselves

We are soft, we are lazy, we have too many players who don't give two shits.

Nothing will ever change.

Playing all over us.

Pathetic to watch

Usual 3rd quarter shite fest by MFC.

Heads down, hands on hips, given up.

Im not watching this crap anymore.

We just can't take a mark inside fifty,,,,our forward line is completely disfunctional today

Tom Mcdonald needs to be dropped! [censored] shitfull kick and is spent!

How is it possible that we have gone backwards from last year?

Yet Roos keeps telling anyone who will listen that we've improved! Yeah right Paul, give me some of the stuff you're on.

Why does it always take a loss that cuts real deep before we start to actually give a crap?

We have learnt NOTHING

Absolutely gutted

Same old from Melbourne. When we have no chance we show fight. When we have a chance to win 2 in a row we shirk at the idea and when we are expected to win we play like a bunch of privelleged morons who shrink to nothing when it doesn't come easy.

Must goal.

Hardly surprising.

Neeld and Craig only needed to tell them to put a bit of physicality on us and we will fold easily.

Soft underbelly. Absolute head cases.

pathetic. I'm done. I'm sick of feeling like [censored] every weekend watching this club.

Who's JKH on for? Fox Footy haven't said.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
