GAME DAY - Round 7

Featured Replies

Changing the cat's poop tray was more palatable than this.

Nah try a week's load of dog poop in the back yard at half time... glorious

Nothing good comes from Collingwood.

Neeld, Dawes, Lamumba...

yep

if Chris Dawes is in the team next week Im asking for a refund on my membership

Have not improved from the Neeld era

Hand in your paycheck Roos you fraud.

Dawes should be dropped and have Pedersen at FF and Hogan at CHF.

The way we play we need an advantage, bring Gawn in for the rest of the year and leave him at FF. then tell our players to kick it long to him one out (they will have to play on and get it in quick to get a 1v1. Onus on the mids to play attackingly.

I don't blink we will get much for Howe or garland if they both leave.. Maybe second round of we are lucky!

Dawes is done & dusted.

I would prefer Gawn up there at this point. At least he can take the odd grab even if he cant hit the side of a barn door

From his salary, no need to hurt the club any more

Been checking the scores occasionally.

I'm done with this club. We are just so bad.

Memberships will be in the mail on Monday.

The players don't give a [censored], why should we as supporters?

Get ready to be thumped next week by the Bulldogs.

Dont do it big fella.

We love have you around here, and besides, whether you like it or not,you are a Dee for life.

Go and have a couple of quiet ones and look forward to next week.

Garland's okay.

Howe is cooked.....he's done.

Our 'run and spread' is just a bunch of blokes meandering over to the other side of the ground at times. Shocking effort.

Toumpas is not up to it unfortunately

I'm not sure how N.Jones gets away from getting a lashing on this site.

I have come to the realisation that we are never going to be a competitive football club. We are too far gone.

Have not improved from the Neeld era

Seriously, do you even know anything about football? What a ludicrous comment.

How can we *not* start questioning Roos here?

The team goes in without a single inkling of wanting to win.

Win? Are you [censored] kidding???

How about chasing and tackling. And manning up when we don't have the ball???

We can't/won't do the basics. They are a pea-hearted bunch of losers.

Probably cleaner than our disposal

Nice work!

Toumpas is not up to it unfortunately

Can only go on the telly coverage ATM,so hard to tell if he's running to the right places.

But what's on telly looks very bad for him.Probably a yard short of afl standard.

4 mother [censored] goals

Hang your head in shame Dawes. Talk less and take more marks. Vice captain my arse

They dumped Grimes from the leadership group but at least Grimes tries his hardest. Dawes hasn't taken a contested mark all year.

Tyson injured. Howe disinterested. M Jones and Bail a liability. Poor Stretch not ready. Brayshaw tired. No Salem no Viney no Hogan no Jetta and no midfield.

Dont do it big fella.

I have too much fun on here to leave DL, don't worry about that mate!

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
