How is he one of our most loyal players, he is yet to play 100 games, he is an under performing high draft pick, if we were going to trade him at this current point in time we wouldn't get stuff all in return, let's be honest teams like Geelong, Hawthorn and Sydney don't recruit these types, they draft players with....hardness, skills aswell.

So the way I see it he is lucky to still be playing for the red and blue and still has a long way to go before he gains the respect of most MFC supporters....and that starts by his head on the line for his team mates.

That's just an excuse, look at some types drafted at number 15 or 20 or Blease and Tapscott, these guys had just as much pressure put on them because they were "relatively high draft picks" with just as much expectation to be successful players.

So you've seen Petracca play an AFL game? As for Toumpas, how is he more skilful, the same for Vince and Dunn?

Jones was often rubbished on here and Demonology for his lack of skills until something changed and it clicked for him. Watts has skills in spades being one of the best kicks and one of the better thinkers in the team... witness that tap down to Garlett in round 1... and his goal from a set shot in then pocket.

Hogan has played just 4 games and Petracca is yet to play a game... you have to be taking the p!ss.

Dunn and Vince are both hard at it players who bring a lot with them... but to say they have greater skills than Watts is ridiculous... I think you are confusing skill with hardness. And like Jones, Dunn is another who many on the forums wanted to see the back of until he found his groove.

Watts needs to harden up, no question... but to say he is lacking in skills is laughable.

Aside from that, I like Watts. But I can't stand people who pump him up to be someone or something he isn't yet good on you for standing up for him but at last say it like it is Watts has been the weekest link in our team on so many occasions and yet he is still gifted a game each week, yes he has good skills, but good teams like Hawthorn, Sydney etc would not have him because he lacks......

Ok, my bad... got that wrong. However, a possible reason why Dunn takes the kick-out and Watts doesn't could possibly have something to do with the positions in which they play on the ground? If I was relying on a player to pinpoint a pass, I would be backing Watts over Dunn every day of the week... and by the way, you didn't actually say why Dunn is given that particular task. Also, you are still to explain how his loyalty is any less than any other player on the team.

There is no way that Blease and Tapscott had anywhere near as much pressure as Watts to become a successful player, especially in the media. Although I admit I don't watch every video that is posted onto the AFL media website page I have never seen a "low lights" package of every single mistake a player has made in a game like they did last week with Watts. I also loved the other week when straight after Carey wrote that article about Watts that he started heavily criticizing him after he dropped a mark in extremely wet conditions while the rest of the game several people were dropping easier marks than that without any comments.

Also, you are still to explain how his loyalty is any less than any other player on the team.

The point is that he is not one of our most loyal players, which was the original statement, he is neither the least or the most loyal and so, his name should not be associated with the term.
