not beating St Kilda since 2006 is the most embarrassing.

would love to own Hawthorn sometime in my lifetime. they've owned us it seems forever since the 80s.

Maybe we can keep this going until we've marked them all off. Maybe then we can feel like the team is moving forward!

Marked one off last year when we beat the Crows over there.

We need to knock off at least five. One or two per season will still keep us in limbo land.

Beat St Kilda at Etihad a week after beating the Pies on QB and that is four of the above...

Some are more meaningful than others though.

Beating Geelong down at Mordor would be huge, and of course beating Hawthorn, but Geelong are on a precipice - I would love to push them over...

Ludicrous was exactly the word that came to my mind p-man! Not winning two in a row for 3 whole seasons is [censored] disgusting!

I hate this thread. Nice formatting though I have to say.

I actually hated writing it.

I'm not joking.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I agree... mods, can this post please be nailed to the top of this forum?

I've recently adopted a strategy of starring into emptiness. I've cried too much and laughing makes you appear psychotic I've found.

Added a few more.

Added a few more.

Can you also add the win over in SA last year, was big and be nice to feel we've knocked over more than just one record since Roo's arrival..?

2011 - the last time someone named Nathan Jones hasn't won the best and fairest and carried the club on his shoulders.

In the current game a 100 goal plus goal kicker is a bit unrealistic. Last happened in 2008 for any club. Though Hogan is as good a bet as anyone to get there someday.

Added Adelaide.

If I'm not mistaken, the last time we beat Hawthorn it put us on top of the ladder. I think that was also the last time we were on top...

Yep. Then we lost the next 5 games and were eliminated from the finals in week 1.

Such a Melbourne thing to do.

Will win 2 games in row this year=tick.

Will win a game at the dome=tick

Maybe take catters to the line=?

Why in seven levels of hell do i support this disgraceful piece of doody of a club?????

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
