Just a little note that I loved. Cross burned him on the lead and kicked it over his head to a pack for an easy turnover. Aaron didn't hesitate to let him know about it. That's a first gamer telling off a guy with over 200 games to his name. He's just slotted in as if he's been playing with us for years.

The boys love him and is very well respected amongst coaching staff and playing.

His playing style yesterday reminded me so much of Max Rooke who use to be that battering ram half forward who just puts enormous pressure on forward stoppages and also that physicality that he could run through the contest. Several times he ran from the half forward line into the center to put a body on the contest in the center bounces.

Again a huge lad!

I've been thinking kind of Jarrod Molloy at Brisbane. A slightly heavy forward wrecking ball.

Didn't see him spray Cross, that's fascinating. Sounds like a competitive beast (like Hogan, Frost, etc.)

Loving the mongrel Roos/Taylor has injected into us, exactly as a team dubbed the DEMONS should have! Other teams should dread playing us, knowing they'll end up bruised, battered and bleeding after two hours on the field with us.

Thought his preseason form might've been a bit of a fluke or any easy ride in practice games.

But nope, I like him a lot. Has some pace, size, strong through the hips even though he has no calves, looks like a pro already.

Has more attributes than your Magner type VFL recruits and actually adds a different dimension to the midfield/flanks.

Good get!

Speaking of Magner what an absolute [censored] that bloke is.

If anyone have read his recent HS article you will know why.

Imagine when this bloke gets AFL fit. Missed a big chunk of the preseason after shoulder surgery and never done an AFL preseason. Huge upside.

Question: Who gets the Rising Star this week if an MFC boy were to collect it? AvB, Jesse with his 15 possessions, 7 marks and 2 goals or Gus with his 9 tackles???

Nice story on Vanders. Moved to ACT, lost 10-15 kg's and worked his ass off.

One of my favourite Demons, love and respect his work rate.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
