urrrrrrggggghhhhh

They are, understandably, playing a very defensive style while trying to hit us on the break which has now worked a few times. We are killing them around the ground but not doing enough when they get a break going forward.

Aaron VaNdenBeRg - 3 contested posessions, 3 disposals, 2 handballs that missed their target, one kick for a goal.

Statistics say he should always kick it.

Jeff Garlett at -3 'fantasy points' as a write this. Which means nothing but also reminds me of fun times watching my brother going nuts over Garlett's depth-of-the-ocean quiet spells at Carlton.

And we're back to two goals each. Everyone ready to rend your garments and gnash your teeth?

Who is on Chapman he is killing us!

We need Frosts run out of the backline, we are struggling for run. God we suck at transitioning the ball, we have no fluidity. Like Dawes holding the play up when Jones was running into space.

Geez this is hard to watch... a game we should walk in is looking so far like it could go either way. To be only a few points up at quarter time is embarrassing.

Come on Dees, smash these pr1cks.

Smashed them in stats, but can't score

Same old!!

Grimes actually looks good this year... saty looks right about his kicking

I agree, too many talls up forward as well. Frost to half back, gives Watts, who's looking good, some more space as well.

Dawes has definitely lifted and is grabbing them well - only thing that lets him down is his kicking

Jv much needed goal thank ya very much

Umpires gifting these cheating pricks frees already

And now the druggies are in front.... what the hell are we doing?

I think we look pretty awful.

Stop Trolling. We don't look so bad. 2 pretty ordinary decisions, We most times are first to the ball

Haha come on man - if we win this by less than 40 points or heaven help us lose it will be a disgrace.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
