Sounds like it was a completely baseless rumour, no surprise

Hold the phone, it sounds like it could be reasonably credible after that explanation.

No matter what it is, Trengove is the first domino to fall.

Sweet relief, I have a meeting now, meaning I get to tune this all out for at least an hour or so. Thank god.

See you all soon

At 2pm the Robert Flower service is being held at the MCG. I'd imagine our recruiters, if not all of them will be taking a break to attend. Maybe we'll see some movement after that?

have it on good authority we will not land dangerfield treloar or dylan shiel. It just will not happen.

Sorry

Mind explaining that authority?

Working from home today, (and just tuned into sen for a minute or two...)

Just reported dees involved in a trade that would net them Jeremy Cameron and Dylan shiel!!!

Little chance of that happening if Boyd goes to the Bulldogs and their third key tall forward (Patton) is injured, Edited by CBDees

I hope we have something planned as i'm growing tired of rumour and innuendo.

I think they are planning more rumour and innuendo.

What if there is no trades in the works?

Maybe we are chasing picks as other clubs aren't interested in trading?

Too harsh? :)

leta hope Ollie Wines has requested a trade to the dees behind closed doors.

Even though this would be great if true.. Ollie wines categorically stated that he won't be leaving the power. So we can rule him out unfortunately.

Do you base this on anything? Or just the general journo hate for no particular reason?

I remember the exact same type on responses to Barrett after he broke the Hogan injury (he was right), the mitch Clark burning (he was right) etc.

Brett Anderson, both journo and dees supporter, has said Jay's mail is usually pretty spot on.

Jay Clark broke the Trengove news on Friday. I'm not saying he is the best source, but it's possible he does know something.

'broke stories'

the vast majority of stories that get to air are from the clubs giving out freely or deliberately leaking them to the media. even thru star past players, loading the gun for unsuspecting journo's

there aren't many real great journo's these days, as the AFL has its grip around the throat of sports media, via ex players in media positions, & the threat of snubbing rogue journo's or papers.

so all we have now are purple warriors ??? & fat cats being fed on info, & lap sitting their feeders.

lol..someone just quoted GNF's riddle on trade radio. A poster form here or BF, clearly.

Didn't sound like the sharpest tool either.

That may be correct but that's not the point. Journos genuinely upset people and breed so much hate and I'm confused as to why. It then leads people to make baseless statements like the one I questioned. Which is ironically often what they're accusing the journo of...

The silence afterwards was gold.

Lol.

I bet the hosts were thinking WTF do we say now?

its all a part of the same rotting integrity & where the game is now, exploitation is the name of the game, & integrity losers its seat.

It effects the whole shebang.

Murmurs about Watts on the table now.

Tell you what, if it turns out the boys complete some epic trade along the lines of what GNF was riddling about and it involves a couple of Jacks then bloody bravo in keeping it in house for so long!
