Patrick Dangerfield

Featured Replies

Dawes, Clark, Ablett, Scully, Buddy, Goddard, Thomas, Judd, Betts and numerous others left their clubs for money. Money talks.

Just about every player has a price.

Dangerfield would have his price.

Just like Roos... $$ talks.. Bullsh!t walks

About to be news break that will most likely keep Dangerfield at Adelaide.

Stay tuned.

You're not talking about the Clarkson to coach Adelaide rumour?

couldn't be a news break if its clarkson to adelaide, that couldn't possibly be leaked until after the gf surely.

Jarman announced it on Adelaide radio....he said it will be made public after the GF

really, seems a bit odd, do they have a shite load of cash or something?
They have the basis of a very good team, just under performing atm i think.

Seems to be a contradiction between 'announced' and 'after the GF'.

Jarman's a clown. No one can take him seriously surely?

They, like other clubs hit the panic button way too early. Yeah they under performed a little but without some injuries would likely have made the 8 and from there who knows.

Look at the funny people in this thread re-gifting facebook rumours and believing Andrew Jarman.

If I'm Clarko and actually was in negotiations with Adelaide and my plans were being broadcast on radio two days before a GF I'd be spewing and take that as a good indication of the professionalism of the club I was considering and walk away.

panic everybody! we can all read danger, roosey and clarkson's minds

Honesty, I think this is a furphy.

To my reckoning after the Sanderson sacking, Clarkson was the only vaguely possible option that you'd have waiting in the wings, to make this sacking move viable.

But I think it's almost too obvious.

Now does that mean Dangerfield is likely to stay? Maybe.

But I think a large chunk of it is about coming home to Victoria.

And if it's true, and Dangerfield still wants to move?

Well, it makes Hawthorn a lot less attractive.

Just ask him if he's seen how Manchester United are doing.

Two things

1) Alistair Clarkson is contracted to Hawthorn until the end of 2016 and unlike Ross Lyin' at the Saints he wouldn't screw his team over

2) Andrew Jarman is a clown

It sounds like Party Boy aka B Vince has joined to throw us all off the scent to ease the pressure on his mate

Gotta love EOS fun and frivolities :)

There is absolutely a politically driven reason Roos spoke publicly about wanting Danger. That is not his style at all, and I'm confident there's a lot of politicking happening behind the scenes. Whether it's a tactic by Adelaide to warm their supporters to the shock of losing Danger, or a smoke screen by Roos to throw everyone off the scent, is unclear.

I can safely say we have very little bargaining power with GWS this year as they only want Petracca, and the Saints will play games there. Their club is desperately in need of a tall, but they know they hold more cards if they give the impression they're taking a player another team wants. Devalues our picks as well and make GWS less likely to deal with us, if they think Petracca is already gone by pick 2.

welcome mate. its a good spot actually as they seem to come in to the mouth of the creek even though its generally sanded over.

There'll be some KGW there as well off the beach. I usually fish a bit further along, off Wild Dog Creek or sometimes Johanna Beach.

Paddy has a house at Torquay, we can stay with him there.

Jarman is the Brad Hardy of Adelaide radio.

...and whilst I shouldn't mention him in the same breath, Mike Sheahan was certain Clarko was heading to WC and predicted it before last years GF.

Ha ha ...Jarman apologises for his fabrication.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
