Some peanut on facebook claiming we will trade Toumpas to cats for Josh Walker, who will then trade Toump to Adelaide for Dangerfield.

thats not quite as silly as it sounds written there. This could end up, a part of a deal, that sees Danger at catland.

And this is example 101 of why you should never even bother reading Facebook rumour pages. It still annoys me that people even bother posting them here.

relax wb, he only posted it here so we (those with a humour) could have a laugh. that's why he said "a peanut"

(Re)interrupting this thread to apologise to Faulty and Ethan, and any others, for my cryptic, punctuationless post (24 Sept). Yes, Aberlour is a 'Highlands' single malt, from Aberlour on the River Spey, due north of Edinburgh / due east of Inverness and, yes, I (generally!) reserve it for wins. Hence "lookout 2016!" (positive, positive, positive...)

Resume normal transmission.

Hopefully you go through a couple of extra bottles next season

Heard somewhere that if anybody else decides to trump the Cats, danger will only sign a 1 year deal with them and then request a trade.

Someone needs to check his privilege.

Entitled little gifted [censored]!

He can request a trade but the Cats will still have to come up with the right deal.

They might as well cough up now...

The scenario that this would involve is where Adelaide does not agree with Geelong and they send him to the Nat Draft to be picked up by anyone. He puts a contract of his choosing on his head and the first team with some balls pick him up.

Adelaide will take ND9 if Geelong offers nothing else. They won't cut off their nose to spite their face.

But, yes, the FA/Trade infrastructure of the AFL is not weighted in favour of clubs losing their best players.

They won't cut off their nose despite their face.

Or to spite it either.

Stevie is a FA...why would he come here...can go anywhere. .just asking

Toumpas to Crows.

Cats first pick ND#9 & ND#27 to Crows.

Crows 3rd round ND#50 to Cats.

Steve Johnson and Josh Walker to Demons.

Dangerfield to Cats.

Toumpas was in Adelaide today.

Not that this necessarily means anything since he originates from Adelaide.

Still I thought players were on footy trip.

Or to spite it either.

Fixed. I could blame it on my iPhone but that was all rpfc I'm afraid...

Watts, gawn, dawes, brayshaw, Riley, grimes, Mcdonald, Mckenzie, Jones, Spencer, Vince and Toumpas were there. A few others as well. All were very well behaved, enjoying a drink but nothing dangerous that I saw.

Good lads, except for 1 of the delisted players who I found to be an arrogant flogface

Perhaps they're all going to the Crows?

maybe they snuck over there to talk Camporeale, to get him to come to Deeland ??? or could it be, they were just searching for Wines.

Did anyone hear David King's idea about Dangerfield going as a free agent and then the clubs swapping picks and players after? What an idiot, it would make a mockery of the AFL's free agency and trade system.

Plus he also listed Cory Gregson as an A grade player? He is promising but he is hardly A grade. The guy is seriously an idiot.

Surely this would be considered draft tampering.

He thrives on being controversial and making 'big calls.'

So does that mean we get Walker and pick 50 for Toumpas?

No effing way would I sign that off. For a start, I don't rate Walker whatsoever, then we're getting pick 50 as well?

I wouldn't have been surprised if Olisik had come up with that, but the fact that someone else did makes me concerned.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
