Its a footy club. theres a lot worse than that out there...

Yeh I know, but theres also much better and the standard that is in place across the workforce is now much higher than that.

That might be needed for Billy Stretch.

Hopefully Billy will be there waiting for us at 3rd round. (Something has to go right for us surely?)

Sorry I actually meant to write our 2nd ROUND pick haha. Would definitely not give pick 2 for Moore

I wouldn't give a 2nd round up for him either. Andrew Moore that is...

Tell him, he's dreamin.

We may be lucky in that if we finish close to the bottom of the ladder, for us to be forced to use our 2nd rounder on Billy, someone will have to offer up a pick in the first say 18-19.

I am not sure that anyone would want us to call their bluff that high. He could possibly slip to our 3rd rounder if that scenario is correct. He is not at the same desire level for us as Viney was, I would imagine.

As someone said earlier, about time for some luck.

No I got what you meant, I was still ewwing at a second rounder for Moore. He might be ready to go but he's always looked like a battler to me.

Good mail Jesse hogan was out last night well and truly enjoying himself.. Didn't look like a bloke doing everything to get the body in order for a game this year

I'm sure having a few beers isn't gonna kill him pal.

stretch.

let's keep singing his praises & raise his internet profile, & we can talk him up into a Pick-12 if we're so smart, this is no doubt how our past leaders from the northern stand would do MFC's business, shoot themselves in the foot first, and the club.

We'll convince the footy public he's worth pick12, & they'll raise his profile further, so we can spend our 2nd Rnd pick on him, & miss out on another kid. or another deal we could use that 2nd Rnd pick in.

yes

Keep hoping.

Tell him, he's dreamin.

you guys would be a real-estate agents dream, to achieve their best deal for themselves, & their clients. you'd talk up the buy price on the property you want, working together.

Is that right? I thought it was done on rounds i.e. to force us to use our second round pick another side has to offer their second round pick.

Apparently Tom Mitchell is on over $500,000 a year at the Swans (source - Mark Allen, SEN). I'd say the Swans would have to off load him to pay Buddy's, Tippett's, Ried's, etc etc pay next year. Off loading Malceski would help to

My prediction is the Demons will off load a second rounder for Mitchell and Malceski. The Blues are after Mitchell too, they may beat us to the punch. If they do, the club would get Malceski for a low pick (not to dilute compensation for Frawley)

My other prediction is the Dees are going hard for Cameron at GWS. We are the front runners as we have the money to pay for him and the draft pick to get him. Cameron would also enjoy the prospect of playing next to Hogan.

As much as the club would love Frawley to stay, I'd say the club would be happy to let him go if the Cameron deal was in the bag. Probably why the club is going to the AFL wanting to know what compensation they will get for Frawley.

Roos saying he would not play Frawley if he knew he was going to another club is all smoke and mirrors. Roos will not compromise the team losing games by over 10 goals as the team needs to believe they are competitive at AFL level. Playing Frawley as a forward is purely a move to keep us competitive, yet looking at the future without him. Frawley is not a swingman!!

If the club does get Cameron, Hogan maybe seen as the swingman and be played as a backman

Most sense I've read in this thread. Keep it up demonstrative.

And of course Hogan can enjoy himself with a lazy $500k to throw around.

I have also heard beyond the normal channels, that we are into Cameron. I'd have to say that, up and running, he is a sensation IMO

Facebook suggesting DANGERFIELD WILL BE GOING TO COLLINGWOOD. Surely not. Surely. I know facebook is FOS but this would be heart braking if true.

Also rumour regarding Cooney leaving Bulldogs or told to leave is bollocks. Source: Word of mouth from manager.

I wouldn't put any stock in something you read on Facebook. It's full of rubbish... in fact, it's all rubbish.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well …

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
