GAME DAY - Round 14

I'm done. apparently you can just throw the ball. [censored] the umpires and [censored] North. Enjoy those you can stand watching the rest.

Mid wat through the 3rd, 5 goals down and leaving the game.... Lol

This is so hard to watch. What the hell is going on? We are lucky to be this close. I dont think we would beat any team today.

Tom McDonald has a diabolical kick.

really.....news to me

Salem needs to spend rest of year at Casey. Looks spent.

Bail is horrible

We struggle always against this nothing club with its plastic president

Another reality check on the journey teams on the rebound and a week of criticism are always difficult opponents, but keep fighting boys. I hate Meth Coast more than any side but since 2007 North have been right up as a team I despise, my dislike for them has grown in the Brad Scott years

We are getting smashed by these pretenders yet again

How does it happen

So disappointing

They have kicked 10.8 from turnovers..

that's diabolical.

Jack Watts has probably been second-best on ground after Bernie Vince today. Props to him for that.

Massive indictment on the quality of our players. You don't just forget disposal skills, and you can't train to improve them either. We need fresh players, asap.

What's going on here is that we are playing a fast running team. Were still slow and McKenzie always gets caught out sooner north. Jets and the Jones boy are having a shocker and the umpiring is incomprehensible. Wait til we play hawthorn and Geelong... Really good teams. We match up ok against the stragglers but we need a bucket omore talent to match the to teams...

Yet you kept asking to meet me there in the first quarter?

Mate I blocked your private messages now you contact me on the forum, please stop being so obsessive. It's bordering harassment

God it cracks me up when some sook here sends you abusive and threatening PM's, last 3 in a minute with one declaring I am blocked.

Then the sook responds to my posts

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.
