Featured Replies

Yeah, 'One Week' was huge and a few other things...

If I had a $1 million, The Old Apartment are a couple of my other favorites.

Song, judging by the photo posted, not a fan of the Ladies' musical stylings?

So....that Jesse Hogan fellow ready to re-sign, pretty good hey..?

Come on, Ethan, expand your horizons.

Btw, any reason you didn't quote Nasher?

I failed to read his post, I can edit if you would like me to include it?

They had a bit of commercial success in Australia in the late 90s. I was a fan as a teenager.

So Jesse Hogan....apparently he's close to re-signing.

What the hell does that have to do with the Barenaked Ladies?

Well, in theory that should be Fitzpatrick, but he seems to have stalled for the moment. Big second half of the year?

Fitz, IMO is just not up to it...

come in guys, let's get back on topic now:

BLASPHEMY

******MFCSS kicks in.................(get Hogan to sign the f####n deal already)

with Pavlich probably retiring at years end can you imagine how hard Freo would have been coming at Jesse recently?

bet they were doing some serious work behind the screnes

Makes this news all the more sweeter

I don't mean to pick you up on every post - but you do understand that unless a player is a FA he can't just waltz to the club of his choice unless

1/ he gets to draft time uncontracted and the club of his choice finishes at the bottom of the ladder

2/ he get to draft time uncontracted and every other club below his club of choice passes on him in the draft

3/ we actively trade him out.

How I hope that doesn't come back to haunt us. Kid looks the goods!

WTF is he doing in Melbourne gear?

Training stint with the club as part of now-defunct AIS/AFL academy?

They all do it. Did it.

He does always look pretty smiley though.

Considering he plays for the Saints, that's an accomplishment.

Never let it be said that any thread must stay on the straight and narrow !! ^_^

embrace the diversification....Ommmmmmmm

BB, your zen mastery is showing through on threads all over Demonland ...

Twitter, FB, website, radio, paper source?

Usually reliable facebook page.

Trying to find a link/official source as we speak

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
