Has he responded to our offer yet?

The Dockers have been in the mix for Chip the whole time.

What a wally this bloke is.

So he's talking to both of the teams who have the oldest lists in the comp and who have both been bundled out in straight sets from top 4 possies.

He'd be mad to go to Freo - they simply can't fill as many holes as will sprout in the next couple of years so he'd want to start winning flags with them pretty bloody quickly.

It's alright, he'll have 7 years for Freo to try and contend again...

...but they are quite capable of pinching a flag next year. I think they performed well with the injury list they had, a little bit like Sydney under similar difficulties last year.

I'm buoyed by all the interest in Frawley.
The more competition there is for his services, the more lucrative his contract will be, on the more likely we will get Pick 3 as compensation instead of an end of first rounder.
See ya chip - hello Angus Brayshaw!

FA can FO

It may yet help us too.

Yeah... Dunno about that.

Anyone still think the loyal country boy might still sign with the MFC?

Would throw a spanner in the works for multiple clubs off season planning if he did

Saty?

It's pretty embarrassing that even at this stage he hasn't let the club know he isn't coming back. Nice work from one of our leaders.

Yeah well part of the info I already had was that

A) Best mate Rivers was already there

and now

B) Girlfriend is a Geelong girl with family affinity with Geelong and so another part of that puzzle was revealed today ( Although I already knew that from an informed sauce and it formed part of my reasoning) the main part however is still to be played out and when it does it will be as I have said. I will say though that unless a "Ship in the knight" takes the wind away I remain 99% convinced that Geelong will be his destination.

Laughable really! But Logical if so inclined!

AH THE FENCE, FIRST IN WITH THE NEWS,AS I ALLUDED EARLIER ( SEE MY PREVIOUS POST) SUGGESTING CRYPTICALLY THAT FREO WAS A LATE SUITOR! EVEN BETTER THAN BARRETT , "SHIP IN THE KNIGHT" ANCHORS AWAY IT'S FREO MAKING A LATE CHARGE!

GEE IT'S GOOD TO BE "ONE THE MONEY" HEY MOON YOU STILL THERE ?? what do you make of this one eh?? What's that you say," Fluke" oh yeah fluke! my new avatar" Picket Fluke"

Gee its good to have sources that really do know a thing or two!

Bwah ha ha har!!

Picket he's been talking to Freo for months, its not like they have swopped in at the last minute

Has he responded to our offer yet?

I'd say effectively yes !!!!

if he went to Freo would that make him Ship Frawley ...surely !!!

It's pretty embarrassing that even at this stage he hasn't let the club know he isn't coming back. Nice work from one of our leaders.

sigh...it's a charade - but free agents don't tell the clubs where they are going or if they are going until the first day that free agency transfers open. Hate it as much you want and call it embarrassing but that is the way it is and I am not really sure why people can't understand it. You can pretty much take it to the bank that if he hasn't told the club he is staying by now then he is going. The club knows the vicinity of the offers and has already spoken to the AFL on what compensation we will get for different contract scenario's.

I find it amusing that posters are saying - mad to go to Geelong or Freo. They are both light years ahead of us in terms of their lists. The talk about Geelong sliding - that's why they pick up new players - so they won't slide - they have some good younger talent coming through. I heard the same madness about Rivers going to Geelong because they were going to slide and he has now played in finals the last two years. Bottom line is that if he goes to either Geelong or Freo he will be playing finals next year as opposed to staying at the MFC.

Helll Chip and GF just got a nice weekend away paid for by the Dockers....lol

7 years @ 600k reportedly offered by freo according to SEN.

Surely not.

7 years for Frawley, Ross Lyon planning on leaving charred earth at another club when hes done?

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
