This issue has been reduced to circular and then semantic arguments between posters who actually agree with each other. Sociologists teach this stuff to uni students.

Have had my fill of this thread.

Over and out.

hmmm Jitch Jlarke?

hmmm Jitch Jlarke?

It depends if the spirit Is ENYAW, he hasn't been around here for a while so we can't rule it out.

based upon conversations i've had with other people who usually get things right, i'm leaning to that he might be staying.

personally, i hope so.

nice to think but geez that reminds me of the Scully situation who looked professional right to the end. even hung around further than the end of season, even Schwab seemed to think he was staying but ultimately left.

contract talks tell the tale surely. he won't talk to Melbourne.

i have said all thru the thread i think he will stay

So yeah im with you on that

I ask you this....are the actions as displayed by the player , Chip, in sync with someone who wants to remain at his present club?

The AFL wont need any more logic thrown at them as to why we ought to get a PP. its got nothing to do with logic, or deserving one etc. Its all political now. They will do so if it suits them not us.

Our PP was Jackson and Roos.

Our PP was Jackson and Roos.

I dont doubt that, in essence...hence my suggestion things are political.

But as many rightly manifest theres a rationale behind a call for a genuine PP...but it wont transpire...me thinks

that's just convenient rationalisation and typical mfcss

that may well be dc but I think it is accurate.

Other than if it's money alone that's his driver, I reckon he'd be crazy to leave.

Word has it, he wants a long contract, so it can't be a flag next year that he demands/expects.

There's a lot of upside to the Dees over the period of a longer contract - surely success with his buddies has got to be more appealing than the concept of success with a group of guys he doesn't really even know yet.

That is, if money's not his overriding driver ...

that's just convenient rationalisation and typical mfcss

yet i actually believe this is how the AFL now operate....its all behind doors after all !!

Chip is 10000000% gone. Club is happy for him to go, so should supporters.

Wow, 10 million percent gone?

Wow, 10 million percent gone?

Of course not.

Probably closer to 12,000,000%.

So hes gone then hh!!!

It's fair to say - one thing Frawley has seemingly been especially loyal/committed to this year is not letting the club know what he intends to do at the end of the season.

I would've thought, by now, he pretty well knows whether he would like to leave or stay. And, if he doesn't, he really is not much more than a simple spud farmer.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
