Where are "he won't pay " people from a few days back?

Silence is golden I guess

Not so much OD. After his second (IMO) [censored] poor game I thought Jack would get a holiday - although I didn't post this.

Then Roos came out and said (words to the effect) that Jack wasn't the major issue. That made it clear that Jack would play. I don't understand this, but I'm not going to question PR - obviously.

However, I reckon he needs to put in a blinder this week!

Would be good if he showed some god dam aggression and repay Roos faith in him.

Howey training with the backs again?

Realistically I think we'll need Dawes, Frawley, Howe and Watts forward in order to kick something close to a winning score this weekend. Not being scored against seems to be more important than scoring at the moment, but let's not forget the overall objective.

Should have been dropped

Any known injury clouds suggesting late changes?

I wonder HM emergencies they take over? If only one I would guess Riley.

When do Scorpions play?

Who was it got the corky in the buttock late in the game... Vince? How did he pull up?

Moving well at training today, should be OK, I think.

at any other club it would have been 100%

and you know it should have been

Obviously the coach thinks otherwise.

McKenzie's 20 something pocessions and 9 tackles for Casey must have been ineffective.

From the reports it was a reasonable performance in a terrible team effort.

Unfortunately for him I think he is going to struggle to get games under Roos.

Just not AFL standard IMO

P-Man, the overall objective is the same in your mind as it is in Roos', just that you have different routes to get to your destination.

You believe that we need to kick a higher score than our opponent.

Roos believes you need to keep your opponent under your score.

Same same but different.

Apart from being our leading goalkicker?

Not exactly, he's fighting it out with Frawls and Dawesy who also have five (5).

Millsy's 2008 AFL Club-Low Record of 26 is in serious danger of being eclipsed.

When was the last time a Demons team had no changes?

Well i certainly was in the should be dropped camp. That said i'm strangely happy that Roos has decided not to. For one thing he played a complete dead bat to suggestions he might be dropped and immediately took the air out of the watts wrong with watts clamour. I am of the firm belief that Watts problem is related his confidence. Dropping would have reinforced to him that he is no good.

But also perhaps going back to the twos would helps JW avoid scrutiny. I know this is a bit of a contradiction of my previous point but maybe playing under the glare of of senior footy is more helpful than running around at Casey.

I trust Roos to take the right approach and if this it it then terriifc.

But he is always right

I said he should be dropped as well binman.

I was referring to some who were definite that he would be dropped.

I hope M Jones has another blinder.

Watts, Byrnes and Terlich need to lift.

To be honest I'm kind of glad they are all playing this week. It will be a bit of fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me but at least there will hopefully be a definitive answer from all of this; If they don't lift - that's it.

No ins or out but there are some positional changes and emergencies are also telling.

Positional changes ?

Surely you don't look at how the positions of players in any teams are selected in and read anything to that at all ?

Now you not only know what other posters think but also what other clubs would have done.

You have been officially promoted from club doctor to club nostradamus.

I think Saty asked him at training what he need to do - and the answer was - be more of a link player and kick goals. He can tag but needs more involvement - and I suspect that means "clean" involvement. Jordies problem is that he is not a two way runner. He has his good days and bad days defensively shutting down players but he doesn't spread and find easy uncontested ball when we are in possession.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
