With the recent bad news about Mitch and Trenners, surely a couple of players now need to be elevated into the Leadership Group.

That said, I'd like to see three: Dawes, Vince and Cross. These three deserve to be, and should actually be, in it.

I think Dawes, Vince and Cross are perfect examples of why we shouldn't worry too much about who formally is or isn't in the leadership group.

Nonetheless, if we're going to have one, they might as well be in it.

I think he's more just saying that they don't need to be formally recognised as 'in a group' to be effective leaders, which they are already doing quite capably.

Dawes and Cross are clearly leaders at the club. Whether they need the title is another matter, but it's obvious that they are. I think Dawes being elevated is a no brainer.

I can claim my mancrush on Dawes even from his Collingwood days.

I love him off-field - speaks common sense.

On field - his big attribute is his willingness to do everything right. I have never seen a player influence a game and players like he does whilst not registering stats - blocks, shepherds, knock ons to advantage, open up avenues for smalls, spoiling, chasing, tackling, multiple leads up and back and a willingness to play in front, running to good spaces.

My only knock on him is his injuries - if he can stay on the park we have a gem

    TRAINING: Wednesday 22nd January 2025

    Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force for training at Gosch's Paddock on Wednesday morning for the MFC's School Holidays Open Training Session. DEMONLAND'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS REHAB: TMac, Chandler, McVee, Tholstrup, Brown, Spargo Brown might have passed his fitness test as he’s back out with the main group.  Sparrow not present. Kozzy not present either.  Mini Rehab group has broken off from the match sim (contact) group: Max, Trac, Lever, Fullarton

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

    Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on.     TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

    There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks.     Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
