probably by half time

Does anyone believe me yet that it's the players, not the coach? Dean Bailey, Mark Neeld, Neil Craid, Paul Roos...it's all the same until the players start to lead each other forward.

Keep this up for a few more years and we won't have a club.....I know it's bad especially that I don't get upset anymore watching us play like this

'Scared to try' good description cowboy_from_hell

But you know what they say, the harder you try, the dumber you look when you fail. I fear that gets into the Demon's sometimes.

Sigh, there are some moments where we look competent, but it isn't lasting.

I'd rather see Toumpass try to make something happen when he gets the ball on the run in the forward line rather then handball 15 metres backwards and try to set up the perfect kick again.

Cull required next year. Neeld's era set Melbourne back many years and hopefully Roosy can mop up quick.

Spencer and Fitzy don't seem up to the level. Frawley tries and is a hard nut but seems vacant between the ears. Pederson is ordinary at best..........more to come

We need GWS concessions this year to ever be a chance to get off the bottom.

There are 17 clubs that play hard and give a [censored] about their jumper

Then there is the MFC

Why?

There needs to be an investigation into this, and an investigation into why we cant develop our draftees

Me thinks our lil botties are going to get spanked the same colours as our jumpers.

Not going to be pretty

Correct it's the players Chook. Roos will change it all around next year and target some of the larger variety to compliment Macdonald and Hogan.

Why are our players not taking their chances? Bernie could have kicked that. Someone take the game by the balls and have a dip. We look scared to try.

We lack confidence and its infectious started last week with the missed shots. Forward structure is a serious issue causing several turnovers and nobody wanting to take the game on. They are a good side but they are flat track bullies and will not get complacent. Both quarters we have been caught napping for 5/10 mins and then been competative. Cant handle these supporters saying the players are not trying theres a big difference in skill errors and lack of endeavour

What's wrong with Nate Jones?

He get's hit in the head a lot. Not much support or protection from bigger guys.

Complete BS.

Get some more ink done, brother.

Looks like Watts can't be bothered today. Fitzy seems to be able to dive on a pack and that's it. Chippa is having a dip.

I don't know why I am watching this..its just terrible.

Have we been worse.....I don't know...

Spencer is up against it. But Jamar wouldn't be much of an improvement and Gawn is unproven.

Our ruck stocks aren't great. Grundy was a big miss for us. That is where Neeld has hurt us.

We paid overs for the Dawes trade and we will continue to pay for that.

Eagles have stopped. We are going around in circles.

It has got nothing to do with development, you cannot develop spuds.

When Roos sees his contract out, hopefully this Quality Vs Development debate will be put to rest.

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
