Bloody Hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(:( :( :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Clark has twinged a Hammy, Dawes recovering from surgey and now Hogan with a knee of some sort. I wonder how Fitzy is travelling

Fitz is in rehab haha. Traveling nicely aren't we!

That is the point I am trying to make, do we want 2 or 3 pages of hand wringing over what might or might not be, if it said he was carried away in an ambulance...then I would panic......he walked away, so probably jarred it....as I said watching training so often...slight problem and you are off.....he'd be [censored] off because he wants to do the full preseason....doesn't want Roos having any excuse not to play him

Membership slogan 2014: "MFC - Where the fun never stops"

All we need now is for Roosy to be eaten alive by a game park lion in Africa!!! :)

The curse of '65 still exists until the club becomes strong enough to break it

Not saying this applies to Hogan but a mate who does sports science used to say to me that when they scream in agony as if they were dying, it's usually not severe knee injury. When they feel a little discomfort like a bit of a strain, the medicos start to worry about a knee reco.

As I said, this is just a theory.

It's true. Very true. Pretty much spot on from what I have experienced in my footy career.

Though in Hogan's case, let's just say you have no idea what your talking about and it's absolute nonsense.

Any other reports coming out of training [apart from Hogan's injury]?

Aliens could have landed at Goschs Paddock this morning and Hogan's knee would still be the only thing being probed on here.

Apparently Roos is currently in Hawaii before heading back.... but knowing our luck he still could get eated by an African Lion whilst visiting the Honolulu Zoo!!!!

Does anyone know anything else?

Desperate for info on Hogan i thought i'd check Bigfooty to see if there was any info (which i hadn't before such is my concern). Read this post

'According to a poster on Demonland Jesse might have done something to his knee.'

and this post in response:

'Nothing from the news.com.au article or anything on twitter. Most likely made up.'

He obviously watches far too much soccer

Can someone with a twitter account tweet the club and ask about Hoges? The suspense is killing me.

The first post on BigFooty is mine. Would there even be journos there to write an article about it?

AFL website reporting jarred Knee, 1-2 weeks

The seriousness of the injury should have little to do with his reaction. How many times have we seen players go down with what looks to be a seriously bad injury only to see them come back on the next quarter?

Conversely, a close friend of mine tore his ACL, PCL and meniscus which is one of the more severe knee injuries and he was only limping.

We don't know. We can only pray.

And pray I will.

THERE IS A GOD AND HE LISTENED TO OUR PRAYERS !!!!!!!!!

Here it is for those not able to open the link:

SHUDDERS went through the Melbourne camp on Friday when promising youngster Jesse Hogan left the training track with what appeared to be a nasty looking knee injury.

The 18-year-old forward landed awkwardly after a marking contest and limped off the track in obvious pain.

Despite early concerns, Hogan has since been cleared of serious knee damage.

"Jesse had an incident at training today where he jarred his knee. He has since been cleared of any major damage," Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney told AFL.com.au.

The Dees believe Hogan will be sidelined for 1-2 weeks with the injury.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
