Hahahahahahahaha Watts! So he deserves votes for not chasing, not putting his head over the ball, and genuinely looking like he doesn't want to be part of the team? Give me a break, he was woeful.

Not trying to launch a personal attack on you or anything, but he was shocking.

Yeah, he was "shocking". 24 disposals @79%.( team average 69%). I guess that % is a bit lower than Jack's normal tally. Not having a go at Sylvia who worked hard but achieved 26 possessions @just 46%.

I wonder how many critics of Watts have actually played footy or maybe I have been looking at another game.

it's obvious that there are many on this site who are in the same boat that I am in - I have defended him and been hopeful he would come on but time and time again we have seen his utter refusal to have a proper crack. Putting his terrible attitude on display during the week, backed up with another gutless performance has put me over the edge. I am sick to death of waiting year after year for supposedly talented kids to 'breakout' and it never happens.. now we have one who is enough of a tossbag to show publicly that he doesn't give a rats about the jumper or any of us, I'm at my limit.

Have a nice stiff whisky and go to bed mate. It will all seem better in the morning!

The difference is that Watts was playing at the end of the ground with 17 teammates ahead of the ball while Silvia was often kicking into our forward half/50 to a 2 on 4 contest against a well drilled defence who consistently out positioned our inexperienced forward line.

Silvia was easily our best contested ball winner. Watts did a good job generating offensive ball movement from our defence but failed to apply pressure and win the ball.

Bobby, I take it you watched the game from the comforts of your lounge room, Jack Watts was a huge dissappointment. We stood behind every player on the ground 25m out from the Fremantle goal, to call him a loose man in defense is totally incorrect, he was a seagull at the back of the pack waitng for easy kicks. Ihave never seen a player avoid body contact as much as Jack Watts did yesterday, I was a defender of this bloke but the wall he played yesterday was a joke. I have also posted they way Craig allowed him to play yesterday was a joke

So, how do we know whether Watts was playing as he did because of or in spite of instructions? If he was playing to instructions then he was probably in our top 10 players. This has been a voter's dilemma all year...how can you pick the best players when it's sometimes impossible to work out exactly what the players had been instructed to do.

Jack Viney coming 5th despite missing 8 games.

I wonder if he will finish top 5 in the Bluey, would be awesome if he did

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
