Not sure why mfc put an article up on our website saying we were interested in martin if we never were...

It's by Peter Ryan from AFL media, not by the club.

The club would've put it up because there's very little out there concerning MFC at the moment.

If you read the article, it's obvious there's little to it.

GWS have pulled out.

His offer from the Tigers might be down to 400k now. Ralph Carr you idiot.

This could turn out to be one of the worst managment decisions of all time!

He must have plenty of skeletons in the closet.

But watch this space as far as Hawthorn are concerned....

Biggest stuff ups of the year,

Brisbane sacking Voss to chase Roos and losing half their players and still not having a coach?

Dustin Martin wanting to explore outside offers, asking for way too much and getting rejected publicly by the two worst clubs in the AFL?

A case of Premature Emmigration

oh drats...Tigers not swapping for Adams.... :)^_^:)

There is a reason why Ralph Carr is such a bad manager and only managers four players.

Richmond's offer was on the table for 18 months yet they still stuffed it up.

Would Dusty maybe be able to sue Ralph Carr for professional negligence, for the discrepancy between the amount originally offered Martin, and the amount they offer now?

I hope so. It would teach the agent, and all agents a valuable lesson, and I think this sorry situation is one of Carr's creation.

"Trust me, Dustin. See how it worked last year with Travis Cloke? I even had him come out and back you on this decision publicly. You'll be fine, and you'll get the money you want."

Clubs (Melbourne, GWS) have pulled out of offers for Martin.

He runs the risk of finding himself back at Richmond with a lower offer than he started with.

Saints have pulled out too apparently.

Surely they were never a chance considering the coach warned his players from even hanging around Martin???

How do you know it wasn't Dustin or his Dad insisting on a figure. A Manager would have to act on instructions.

imo, ralph is being right royally rogered....

Little Dusty will end up getting $100 a game if the Tigers can be bothered to open the door to him...

This is truly quite funny...he was about 5 minutes from signing a huge deal...and he pulled it out...

Little Dusty is a bit dim.

That's very true. Pure speculation on my behalf.

This has got a way to run. He will end up somewhere.

I'd not write us out totally yet...

I mean would we take him with pick 2 in the PSD if available (i.e. for nothing)???

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
