more work for the lawyers?

yeah but why should the lambs suffer ?

Its unbelievable isnt it DC.

Hed have to leave Melbourne, the Country even, back to his little Village de merde.

Whod want to even walk on the same footpath !!

Village life would suit him - ready made role as the village idiot.

essendon have to be going down the gurgler...surely !!

They cant keep sustaining hit after hit. Something has to give.

Am amazed they even have a sponsor to tell the truth.

How this doesnt bring the the game into disrepute I'll never understand

Seriously their refusal to accept the findings of a government law enforcement agency ( as now supported by a Federal Court judgment) is bringing the game into disrepute !!

The AFL pinged them for bringing the game into disrepute with a drug supplement program they ran in 2012 and early 2013.

What they've done in late 2013 and 2014 has done a lot more damage to the game. These actions under a different Chairman ought to prompt another disrepute charge - more damning than the other one!

This is a club in disarray.....

theres not a big enough laughing gif to accommodate !!!!

They really are done, aren't they? I don't think I could have even dreamed about them being in this much disarray.. The Golden Boy is bringing this club to its knees, with the emotionless swagger of a psyco.

Seriously, Hirdy either has the biggest balls in the world, is the worlds biggest narcissist, or is just stone cold ruthless with no social conscious whatsoever. I couldn't do what he's doing- gotta give him props for that

I don't think his goolies have anything to do with it. He comes across as the most emotion-less and remorseless individual you could imagine. Sociopath comes to mind.

Does this remind you of someone?

It smells like a hird, it looks like a hird what does it taste like? Na, its a hird.

We had our fair share of nutcases during the Scully saga.

Whats red black and white all over?

The worst job in the AFL at the moment must be the MessyDrugs List manager

A embarrased skunk

After just reading Yobbos latest piece of flagelation I can only deduce he must be the golden one's rent boy.

Such continued ridiculous contrivance can only mean that.

essendon turning into bizarro land

there will be a civil war there, with no winners

more popcorn?

Quote from AFL trade period 2014 -The AGE

"James Hird has given a pre-season update on the Essendon website.

On Ben Howlett and Jason Winderlich, he could not give a specific update but praised both players

"We'd like to keep both Jason and Ben," Hird said.

On Paddy Ryder:

"It'd have to be a good deal for us otherwise Paddy will stay an Essendon player."

"He's a required player."

He also added that the Bombers needed to bring in another ruckman, and that the club had established an interview process to determine a replacement for departing assistant coach Simon Goodwin - who is headed to Melbourne as part of a succession plan with Paul Roos."

I think Paddy may have something to say about that.

Sorry, sold out at all venues in the vicinity of Tullamarine.

Tulla must be very handy for Jacques !!!

Any link between Malceslki's signing at GC and Hird playing senior coach again?

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
