Voss Sacked

Wow Moloney saw a coached sacked in his first season. Hope brisbane dont get a coach that will be to hard on him and put some defensive pressure on. he may want to leave.

I thought Brisbane would do the decent thing and wait until the 3 games are over. But maybe they are into roos and need to get an offer going.

The thing is though brisbane dont need to go down our path and get an experienced coach. They could get an experienced untried coach if that makes sense.

I reckon we have a better list than the lions, we are offering much more money, lifestyle would be the only reason for him to choose them over us

I thought for a long time Roos was holding out for a club in a better state like Brisbane but thought Voss had saved his bacon with that game against Geelong.

On another note another same club player/coach gone. Primus last year, Voss this year and possibly Hird?

Me too PJ

I have always thought he was keeping quiet on the basis of seeing what was available before give us a definite NO.

Nah, we don't have rich, rockliff and redden?

We have Frawley, Mcdonald, Garland, Hogan, Viney and Nathan Jones instead, they have no key forwards, no key backs, we have a weak midfield that can be improved in one good trade/free agency period

See, I don't understand this part, how can we fix this in one draft period? If possible please lend your services to the club on this matter. How does one acquire the ilk of rich, redden and rockliff in one trade period?

So far we have been trying for 6 years and are worse than before we started.

Can you advise how Df?

you trade, we get a PP of 1&2 which at this point is fairly likely, i am certain clubs will offer at least 1 quality mid for pick 1, The lions in fact would consider offering those players for the key forward they desperately need,

fairly confident the crows will have a good think about Sloane for pick 2 who is as good or better than any of those mids,

and the natural improvement of guys like Viney, he's already averaging over 20 touches a game,

only real difference is we have someone to kick too.

Phew! I look forward to that happening then! Cheers.

Why?

3 time premiership captain.

Would know a thing or two.

Young, proven footy brain, 5 years senior coach experience, will still have the fire, point to prove, his win loss ratio is far better than Melbourne's over the last 5 years. Also have heard that 2nd time around coaches have a pretty good record.

Not saying definite, but should be considered.

Yes but not of coaching.

His results at Brisbane have been poor.

His dumb decision to pay a bomb for Fevola was a disaster and split the Club and hurt the player culture resulting in a number of key players leaving.

A lesser favourite son would have been sacked for that almighty balls up

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was
