I feel we have digressed somewhat from the thread's subject. However it seems that our common fear of an impending ape uprising has unified our disparate political opinions.

Except D-L. I struggle to read his posts even when he ISN'T talking about a divine force. No telling how he'll react to our new Ape Overlords. I'm going to say he'll advocate rebellion with multiple fonts and styles.

i think it is another chicken and egg situation hardtack, probably very dependent on one's definition of the two terms

but then we get into semantics

i would expect the instinct for power and control came first as a more base attribute and religion was a refinement dependent on the higher development of imagination and curiosity

look at apes. they have power and control structures but no religion

I think even the staunchest of liberals must see that this latest effort is little more than a play for votes...and to attempt to have this forest taken off the world heritage listing, really does fit the "international embarrassment" bill perfectly...

"Tasmanians go to the polls on March 15 with jobs and the forestry industry big issues as Labor struggles to hold on to government."

I believe that in response to his application to join the ministry god spake unto Tony suggesting he go forth and multiply... and so he took up a ministry of another kind and has since been applying his lord's suggestion to just about anything he can think of (well, anything instigated by the opposition).
