Now you probably don't know what that is but it's someone that is a liaison (I assume you know what that means) between the company and its accountant and also handles payments and preparation of accounts. Are you still with me, I will slow it down if you are having a problem.

Now Bree is a young lady who has a business providing "Bookkeeping services" to those in need of them, she works vey hard and does a great job, I'm sure if she wanted to milk cows she could but I guess she would prefer to have the part time work I provide her so she can spend time with her young children.

Now I'm glad you are a dairy farmer, you might even provide milk to one of my major clients, so keep up the good work, but not all of us want to work on the land, so I'll pass up on the offer.

Just to clarify, I don't drink, I don't have a chauffeur and I'm not a member of the Melbourne Club, in fact the only club I am a member of is the MFC.

Now if you have any more questions, suggestions or words of advice let me know and I'll do my best to help you out although that's a big job and I don't have that many years left.

It takes a bit to upset me but not a lot to annoy me, good luck to you as we'll for the rest of your life. I've got 4 sons but no daughters and they work in differing areas one works with me, one works in the same industry, one works in IT and earns a packet of money, more than me and one works up north in an industrial company that makes road signs; none on the land.

The other guy doesn't upset me I just hate it when someone that doesn't have a clue shoots their mouth off as if they do.

I did in fact know that, but I'm pretty sure the cut-off for that was an income of $100,000 per year. I don't know a lot of people on that sort of money who don't do any sort of salary sacrifice, so I was a little surprised. I'm pretty shocked to hear you have a son who's 40, which puts you past or at age pension age. You know you might get more age pension if you salary sacrifice first right?

So what are you going to do when you retire? You must be close to that age as stated. I don't see how you CAN'T live without getting a government benefit.

Either your super money will be rolled into pension phase, where you will pay no tax on earnings OR DRAWDOWNS (concessionally treated environment), or maybe you'll get an annuity which is also concessionally treated.

Better not get the age pension either, that comes with all sorts of government benefits like the pension card and discounted medications, as well as actual money given to you by the government.

You could put all your assets into cash or property, but then you'll probably earn a whole lot of nothing from an income perspective, which means you'll get the low income health care card. Or at a minimum, the seniors health care card.

I'm not being factitious here, but how are you NOT going to take a government handout/concession?

The problem is that when milk is plentiful, September, you can't get rid of it when it's in short supply you can ask what you want for it. Do you maintain supply during the off season?

I preference'd the Labor Party before the Greens, because as much as I despise the Labor Party I'd prefer them to the mad hatters with the destructive policies, the Greens.

It appears to me the voters were playing games and it's backfired, now we have some candidates with no idea and no policies representing us. It will mean that there will have to be extra resources and money wasted showing these, in some cases clowns, how the system works.

Once again we have the Miner Palmer, holding the Country to ransom with the balance of power, he has said his candidates will vote how he tells them to, so much for democracy, they will be like paid employees, nice one Tall Defence, I guess you voted for them as well. You know how it works; Palmer will hold the Government to ransom, you do this and I'll do that.

That's what comes when people don't put proper thought in to what they do and don't consider the possible outcomes.

That's true, in a political stance I stand nowhere because no-one stands for me. However instead of this stance leading me to protest vote for a stupid minor party with compromised preferences, I chose to register for none.

Liberal Party will have 33, Family First 2 (and lets face it, their just the right wing faction of Liberal), Labor 25, Greens 10 and then we've got the Motor Enthusiast, Sports Party, Democratic Liberal Party (Gun nut) and the experienced independent Nick Xenophon.

It's up to the Liberal Party to convince Family First (easy enough) and the 4 of Nick Xenophon, Motor Enthusiast, Sports Party and DLP that what they want to pass is just and for the good of the country and there's no issue. No holding the country to ransom by Palmer or negative politics by Labor or The Greens, after all that's the Liberal Party's game anyway.

Anyway that's how the senate's suppose to work, it's suppose to be up to some smaller parties who can look at things from a different perspective to decide whether what the government want passed, should be passed. What you seem to be thinking is a good idea is a dictatorship... I'm sure Christopher Pine would agree with you there, however that never seems to work out to well. Anyway, if it wasn't for the Liberal Party (& Meg Lees of course) the Democrats would probably of still been a viable option and held anywhere from 4-6 of the 8 remaining senate seats, held the balance of power and we wouldn't have the mess of a senate that we're seeing now. Make no mistake, this can be linked back to the GST first being introduced.

So you voted Greens (who are the extreme left version of the Labor Party) did you, did you see who they preference'd I bet is was Palmer; hypocrites.

There will be alliances in the Senate as there were in the lower house last Parliamentary period and there is every possibility that some of these new Senators will align with the Labor/Green coalition so the numbers you speak of may and probably will become irrelevant. I would imagine the member for Kangaroo Poo will find a natural home with the Labor Party, not sure about the rest.

I'm not suggesting a dictatorship rather a workable senate, we've seen how a dysfunctional lower house works over the past 3 years and I'd like some stability, I've voted for the Democrats before and they were once a good party but just lost their way.

Tony Abbott is on record as saying (2008) that the worst thing was them getting a majority in both houses in 2004 as it allowed them to pass legislation that shouldn't have got through, such as work choices, he was one of two members of cabinet that opposed it.

Palmer has paid employees in the Senate doing his bidding and whenever he gets the opportunity he has said he will get what he wants.

The GST was/is good for the Country and even the Labor Party were going to introduce it, Keating floated it well before Howard, so it was the B/S spread by him and the Labor Party that made it so unpopular and cost the Democrats there life. Put the blame where it lies.
