Nah, too early.. Third round and should be there.

Dumont, Dunstan, Crouch or Taylor - one will be there at 20/21 and are all quality players.

I think Dunstan might be there and I'd take him before Jones, not sure the others will be there.

Although, Brodie Grundy slipped last year - as did Kennedy and I expected both to go top ten, especially Grundy.

Grundy is something else.. Never seen someone so young who can dominate as a ruck like he did against Hawthorn. I was salivating over him watching those taps and follow ups.

how he got to 18 is insane, thought gws would take him at 3

Nathan Jones' 17 year old brother is tearing it up at the Dandenong Stingrays'

He's just been on the TAC future stars show.

Assuming he's of the same attitude and application as his bro, grab him now recruitment team. I want more Jonesies. Brothers of most of our other players need not apply.

I will admit I haven't seen him play- anyone have footage? But I'm growing warmer to this brothers playing in the same team thing. Is it something that Roosey will go for?

Imagine we had brothers again playing in the same team. I think it would only have a positive affect on the team having that kind of bond and the rest of the players can feed off that.

Kirk as assistant coach.

Trade pick2 for swallow or use pick2 for scharenberg.

Next pick, zac jones.

We must get zac jones. He is a lock.

Use pick2 if we have too.

i reckon we will get a PP at the end of round 1 . maybe mid 1st round

could be the perfect spot to get Zak

Prioity Pick will be 9 or 10 Wherever Essendon was going to be Makes sence as no other teams can complain

Just had breakfast with a hawthorn recruiter prior to him going off to watch more games and he stated that Zak Jones performance yesterday has moved him into the mid to late 20's and if he was to really shine next week he would really solidify his status in the 20's.

Zak Jones was best on ground playing for the Dandenong Stingrays in their preliminary final and will take his place in the grand final v Eastern Ranges who are hopeful of having the favourite for # 1 draft pick, Tom Boyd available.

I think you would change your mind if you saw all the Grimes Kids. They younger they are the better they are.

Kid needs to settle down with this good form or he won't be there at our 3rd round pick.

Too right! Nate, get into his ear and make him have a shocker, maybe even spit the dummy at his team mates, the coach and the umpires a couple of times. All with a wink, of course.

That would be impossible. It's not in the Jones DNA.

Best we start staging a few photos of him emerging from nightclubs & knockshops & get 'em out on social media

Get him urinating on some nightclub bars or kicked out of the casino inebriated.....

So unlike MFC players ;);)

Lets try a Jack Darling approach

I heard Zak Jones has behaviour issues and likes the night club action. "I think he is like Dayle Gartlett and wose than Jack Darling" said one recruiting agent.

BUT SERIOUSLY ZAK JONES CAN PLAY & MFC MUST GET ...

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-09-17/boyd-buoyed-by-final

Zak Jones put in a starring performance in last week's comeback win over Calder Cannons, with 28 disposals, 10 tackles and 10 clearances.

The hardened half-back has moved into a midfield role and is also pushing up the draft order after a stellar season.

"He's become an elite player at this level," Yeats said.

"He's tough, runs straight, competes, and would eat a footy. He's a little bit mad, so we give him very simple instructions about his role and we let him go."

Slow down Zak!!!

If we lose Sylvia which to be honest i think we probably will unfortunately, we should get around pick 25 as compo, i'd use that on Jones, yes it's possibly pulling the trigger early but if you had to personify what our side needs, this guy does.

The more I hear, the more I like. I would be willing to spend an early second rounder on him, he sounds like just what we need, and I like the idea of the Jones boys playing together- pushing each other, and the sense of brotherhood and unity this list needs.

Get it done MFC or I'll be dissapointed.

Not a chance. First of all he won't be rated that highly and secondly we will no doubt be taking at least one FA ourselves, so the compo will be diluted. Most likely if we take Cross and Sylvia walks it will be seen as an even swap.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best.
