and is soft as butter and squibs contests i.e St Kilda game and Geelong game

He did have seven tackles against Geelong, not such a bad effort.

I'll put your comment down to trolling.

Tremgove was tracking beautifully at the end of 2011, his 2nd season.

Averaged over 20 touches, and i think came top 5 in the Bluey despite missing 3 games.

So what happened?

Mark Neeld came in

He was burdened with the captaincy

I dont subscribe to the the theory he has an ongoing injury. You telling me hes been carrying an injury since round 1 , 2012?

Anyway hes had 20+ touches the last three weeks so I think the tide might be slowly turning.

He has always looked slow and lacked explosiveness, even before 2011.

Trade him too soft

it is supporters like you that make me want to rip out my hair and never let you into another Melbourne game again.

This kid is the future of the MFC and one of the greatest and natural kicks i've ever seen in my life. Better than Davey's.

He can be slow at times, but after only just a few games i can already see a star in the making, and no, he is not soft

Tell me one squib who is no longer a squib in the AFL? Bryce Gibbs was a squib when he was drafted, still is. And prime example was Cale Morton. Don't kid yourself, this is ingrained in him

Why dont you go and show him how to be harder because it got you to... oh wait..

Trade him too soft

And the award of the '[censored] of the year' goes to angrydemons.. bravo son!

Gary Ablett Jnr squibbed a contest very early in his career would you call him a squib now?

Soft is not going, reckless courage is Selwood and jones etc.

Some one going but fearing contact, but still going is not soft, yes he ducks his head a little, but he still bloody went and did what was required.

Sorry wrong tread I. Thought I was writing on the morton tread, but please can we wait until he plays four seasons before calling him.a future star, not one person on this site can say that morton was not going to be a future star after his first two seasons everyone is soft at times.

morton's first season was arguably much more impressive than what we have seen of toumpas so far.

i remain confident that jimmy will not end up where morton has some six years into his career.

and i'm not even a massive wrap for the kid!

Look forward to seeing Jimmy play next year after another pre season, under a new coach and further away from his hip operation.

Under extremely difficult conditions and circumstances he played his best game for us. That tells me a lot about him.

He will be a good player for us.

I'm shaking my head at these comments of people calling him soft. He went in hard many times vs Geelong and he showed some very good inside work which is totally against what he is known for. There is nothing about him that reminds me of Cale Morton.

He's showed some real confidence in the last few games, and I expect that confidence to grow.

His biggest issue was he didn't get the pace of AFL right away, not an uncommon issue and he is finally getting that and showing us why the club has considered him to be a better prospect than some really good players ( stringer, vlastian, wines, mcrae, menzel )

He is soft, take the rose coloured glasses off

He is soft, take the rose coloured glasses off

might regret these comments in five years time if he becomes as good as most of us think he will.

He is soft, take the rose coloured glasses off

Your soft with your thoughts. You wanted instant gratification with Jimmi, didn't get it, therefore your crying like a baby!!!

He is soft, take the rose coloured glasses off

Take yours off and just go away.

Where did this 'soft' tag come from? I've seen him put his body on the live several times, don't understand the fascination from people who want 1st year kids to end up with career threatening injuries because they recklessly throw their under matired bodies around

Toumpas is not soft. In the last few games he's put his body on the line several times and showed this. He's starting to get used to the speed of the game at AFL level now and is showing the talents that had him so highly rated. He'll be a fine player for us. people need to quit their bitching about a first year kid with less than 10 games to his name!

For the record, Cale Morton's first season was one of the best by a Demon in my lifetime. He racked up 30 touches and 3 goals against Geelong at their peak. Noone else on our list has done the same. Yes he didn't turn out the way we hoped, but what's the point of bagging him when he isn't at the club anymore and has no bearing on our future?

Great Call... not that I'm the biggest fan and I also think Jimmy will be a far better player, but who else can recall Kade Simpsons first 10 games, I'm pretty sure he didn't touch it in his first 3 games (literally).

Jimmy has taken some time to to pick up the game, but you can just see the poise and class starting to shine through. He is not a hard-ball winning mid, but he does not shirk at the contest that's for sure...I think a lot need to take breath. Yeah Ollie Wines would have been great for us, but Jimmy will be great also.

Bloody soft. Alot softer than you sitting behind your computer. This soft kid was so weak that he was seniors football at the age of 16. What a bloody [censored] putting his teenage body up against men!! Now at 18 backing into a pack against the biggest bodies in the comp, knowing us with no voice from his teammates he lowered his head slightly.. Well holy [censored]. Josh hunt weighs 100 kilos and is built like a brick out house and he did a deplorable head drop last year. A three time premiership player.

I love posters who came out with lines like this because it allows me from now on to ignore every post you make. Thank you. Hope your courage behind your desk is in top form also..

Where did I say he wasnt a good footballer or didnt have the capabilities to be a good footballer? I'm just stating that he is soft
