We're looking at the 2015 or 2016 premiers.

These kids are amazing.

It's not rocket science to see what priority drafting, plus money, plus the best AFL player in the last 10 years can do to advance a club.

We had Cook, Gysberts, Morton, etc come to our club.

Fmd.

Still doesn't explain the MFC abyss.

GCS have been pretty much a stable team for the past three years and so are now gelling very well. Unfortunately due to our multiple rebuilds, we don't have that unity.

It's depressing I know I think about it often and wonder what was going through BP and DB's heads??

You can see the difference in recruiting of the better sides like Sydney and Geelong, they get strong bodied kids who are up to the rigours of AFL footy. We drafted skinny racks who simply weren't up to it.

Yeah we all know how poor our drafting and development has been. Although I actually think since Neeld took over our drafting has been pretty decent. I know Gillies isn't much chop and Byrnes and Rodan are old but we needed some experience so that is why we got them. But Viney, Hogan, Kent, M.Jones, Terlich all look to be decent players and Clark and Dawes are obvious wins so really the new direction they are taking seems to be right just may take time.

time for an EGM is what it says to me.

6 years of bad decisions.

WYL, you and I have been around long enough to see AGMs, EGMs, mergers, coaches, next big things all come and go.

What we HAVEN'T seen is standards, high expectations, someone to come to this club with no flavour or fervour to GET IT GOING.

Our young list is almost as good as GCS (except SofG) and like cunnerz09 said, let's get some games into players who give a stuff!

Is it reasonable to suggest all of your posts will now quote verse Lordweaver?

Our list SHOULD BE as good or better than GC.

it isn't.

They are shot upstairs as well.

We need change.

Not better.... yet.

Bad picks may yet sink us.

They say that players' actions equate to coach killers - well, recruiting guys make or break teams.

Sure, they're going in hard but these conditions skew the impression the Suns are making.

I reckon we'd go okay in these tight and sloppy conditions.

GCS have been pretty much a stable team for the past three years and so are now gelling very well. Unfortunately due to our multiple rebuilds, we don't have that unity.

Many of the GC players have been playig together for 40- 50 odd games. They have some serious talent and will be a real force in a coiple of seasons.

The media were calling for Guy Mckenna's head only a couple of month back. Good example of how quickly thigs can turn.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
