Neeld is gone, thats a done deal in my mind, but Jackson will keep him on board until a suitable replacement is coaxed into the job by Vlad. There is no way they will sack him without a solid roadmap in place.

I can't see any incoming coach wanting the previous senior coach to be his assistant and likewise I wouldn't think a coach that's been given the flick wanting to stick around at the club. I think a major reshuffle in the assistants is needed at the end of this year, for me I see Viney, Craig, Misso, and Leigh Brown as the only ones that are safe and possibly a few of the development coaches could be made redundant to save costs.

It appears as though the club has learned from the sacking of Baily, that was handled in an extremely amateurish way so they are now handling this one with patience. There are two scenarios I see happening, he gets given until the end of the year and barring a total squad (save for about 5 players) heart transplant and they start to show some improvement, he is sacked. Or as expected we will be wiped off the park by every team in the next 5 rounds and they sack him after the queens birthday, thereby giving the interim coach 2 weeks to prepare and the players 2 weeks to get over the fact they've killed another coach.

WYL it shouldnt be about laying a tackle or being competitive it SHOULD be about WINNING, which is aint. This is an AFL side right not an Aus Kick team.

Unless the Dees start winning Neeld should be gone and if we continue to get thumped he should be gone sooner rather than later.

I sincerely doubt it. He would move on.

I feel a bit sorry for him. For all his errors in judgement, he would unlikely be in such a perilous position at any other club. Unless he can produce a miracle to right this ship in time to save his job, you'd have to think his senior coaching days are done. For a clearly ambitious guy, that will hurt alot.

Here is my sliding scale on what could happen to Neeld next week depending on the size of the loss to Richmond

0-30 points = coaches until seasons end (depend on future results)

31- 60 points = sacked after mid season break

61-100 points = sacked sometime next week

100+ points = sacked by Monday morning

If for some reason we win, his contract will be extended until 2018 and a statue commissioned to stand next to Norm Smith's.
