Can we ever get someone on this board who is/doesn't:

1) not negative about everything?

2) crack the s***s if someone says something against the club?

No

1). Posters need it in their life to mask their own inadequacies

2). No cracking the shits, more finding the constant negativity tiresome

This topic is three pages of hot air in my humble opinion

Guys when a club is in the pitiful state the MFC is in there will be unhappy people.

People are going to complain.

Human Nature guys just suck it up.

A win on Sunday will see it drop by a significant degree.

Coincidentally, the past two weeks have heralded a great turnaround in Garland's intensity and overall form. Perhaps he had somewhat of a falling out with the coach (which has now been rectified). Hell Gates certainly had some bad things to say about Neeld. Perhaps he got some of his info from Colin.

At any rate, it's clear that the longer we give a tough-as-nails footy nut like Neeld, the better he'll get. I mean, the guy has kept every handout he's ever gotten as a coach. Clearly he's motivated to get as good as he can.

I think the Mods might need to clear the decks on HG and his last few efforts on here and if he was being honest with his comments around what he knew from his "player brother". If those comments lead people to believe Neeld was one way or another with the players when it was not factual....

This isn't yet another doom and gloom thread.

I just read the AFL.com article that quoted Colin Garland as saying Neeldy is coaching better than he ever has. In particular, Col (Garland, not this one) said that he was impressed at how he let the boys just play instinctive footy and has done a good job in protecting the players from the fall out of the three beltings at the start of the year.

Has Neeldy started to come to the realization that he needs to work with the players, rather than work against them? Has he realized that he can be authoritative as a coach but not authoritarian? Has he discovered that he can have a relationship with the boys but when the time comes he is able to tell them what is and what is not on?

I don't want things to go back to the time of Bailey when players were calling the shots exclusively but I have wanted him to at least become a little more flexible in his approach. What do others think?

I think he has come to this realization but he has come to it pretty late. Whether or not it will save him as a coach remains to be seen.

give it a rest, we all make mistakes and move on, maybe the negatives dont wont to do that in case they are proven wrong.

its never to late as you put it . to change your style and handling of certain players. im sure some people on this site have never been involved in real football.by the way i think this board has made a decision to stick with the current coach and fd until the end of 2014 and then see where the list is. so if you dont back them now , you may as well follow sth colac for the next 18 months

Hey, I'm happy about it! If he has changed, then great! I'm not cheering for him to be fired at all. The bit at the end was just looking at things realistically. I was like anyone else after the first two rounds and was mightily pizzed off. I was convinced that he had to go ASAP. I think however, and I yet may be proved wrong, that Neeldy has started to relax a little and has started to work with the players rather than dictate to them. If that's the case, then fantastic.

Yep, but have you actually tested its veracity?

Love it. There should be a button underneath poster names to play their theme song as you're reading their posts.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
